Nine D’Urso’s Bottega Veneta Perfume Ad Campaign

Are you familiar with Nine D’Urso? She’s Ines de la Fressange’s daughter. Also a style maven in her own right as she charmed the fashion blogosphere (and more) with her fashion approach and sense of style. Once too many times I dreamed about chopping my hair into a Nine D’Urso bob – wink (look at the pictures after the jump and you’ll understand there’s something about her haircut that drives anybody to the verge of chopping off into a messy frizzy bob).
Either way, as tempted as I would be to digress and talk about Nine’s hair and style, this is about Bottega Veneta launching their first perfume, Bottega Veneta eau de parfum and Nine being the spokesface for the occasion. Kate Moss For Longchamp Fall Winter 2011 2012 Ad Campaign

Let’s call this the Kate Moss day! Can we? After all, it’s Friday, July 01, 2011, the day of Kate Moss’ wedding! Can you believe it? The Mosstock is officially on a roll for an entire weekend of festive nuptial celebrations! (why Mosstock? Well.. because so many have gathered to celebrate the Moss – Hince wedding that it’s starting to resemble a music cum fashion festival! I hope more details will emerge when the actual ceremony debuts)
So because this is the Kate Moss day, here’s her latest Longchamp Fall Winter 2011 2012 ad campaign. Photographed by Alasdair McLellan, the campaign looks very Kate, very British. (is it just me, or is she advertising only for her own bag line from Longchamp? Either way, I won’t complain, the bags look dreamy gorgeous and I would love any of them! Calvin Klein CK One Shock Perfume

Remember the glory days of CK One? I loved the idea and the way it went down, I loved the ads, I was definitely one of the Ck one teens! And boy, was Kate Moss born to do the ck one ads?
Kate may have moved on (and coincidentally, today she’s ending her bachelorette days with a Mosstock marriage to her longtime rocker beau, Jamie Hince) but you may be pleased to know that ck one is still there! Calvin Klein Ck one shock! It’s the new fragrance CK one Shock for her and CK One Shock for him. From 1994 fast forwarding to today’s ck one smell: for her it’s very floral with vanilla and musk base. For him it’s it’s aromatic, spicy oriental with fresh accents ending in tobacco and musk.
Of course you will ask why are we talking about ck one for her and ck one for him since it was all about sharing the same fragrance? Well, things have changed since 1994 and it would appear the modern consumer no longer wishes to share the same perfume scent with his / her companion. Is it so? I for one, haven’t changed one bit since back in the day: in terms of perfume, I still like to share the same fragrance with my Adored Husband. (wwd, ck one photo via)
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley And Burberry Collaboration

You know I was saying something about critics being horrified about Rosie’s Transformers acting and overall charisma and that a crushing majority of reviewers were begging for Megan’s return in the Dreamworks Hasbro franchise?
Well, the PR gents didn’t just stood there with their arms crossed waiting for dust to settle on the freshly redacted reviews and they assiduously started pushing defamations into Megan’s direction. Shia kicked it all when he “confessed” to a special chemistry (and maybe more) between him and Megan on the set of the second Transformers and now everyone from Mr Bay down deny having fired Megan from the team, repeating over and over again that she simply quit. She left on her own. Go figure!
Getting back to Rosie, there’s a little rumor circulating, stating that she has something in the works with Burberry, rumor started and confirmed by Christopher Bailey himself (Burberry’s creative director). Talking about Donna Karan Fall Winter 2011 2012 ad campaign and completely ignoring the DKNY fall winter 2011 2012 ad campaign feels wrong. So here are Aline Weber and Anne Vyalitsyna acting as spokespersons for the DKNY FW 2011 2012 ad campaign (also photographed by Inez and Vinoodh).
It’s not as half as glamorous as the Donna Karan ad campaign we mentioned previously and I think this kind of street style ft 80s mail fashion catalog photo does no particular service to the DKNY brand. It would appear that Isabeli Fontana is one of the highest rated models right now. There she goes, unrecognizable though absolutely flawless fronting the Donna Karan New York Fall Winter 2011 2012 ad campaign.
It’s not an unusual look for Donna Karan’s aesthetic, however, the angle and the light make of this Inez and Vinoodh signed picture an advertorial masterpiece. Don’t you want to look like Isabeli in this ad? I do! I could buy this dress just because of this ad! (wouldn’t you?) (via)
The New Wardrobe Must For Little Girls: High Heels

You may remember I felt a bit outraged when the first pictures of little Suri Cruise wearing high heels sandals emerged. Just as I previously was in response to a collection of shoes meant for babies which also featured high heels. For fun.
I always thought adding an extra inch or two is a grown up style matter and there was no need to bring that kind of style option to (little) children. Not just because I tend to favor comfy, playful wardrobes for kids but also because their bone structure is too young and not yet in favor of changing the weight center by adding the unnatural height. I’m no doctor, so these are not professional opinions, just a mother’s instinct acting against the fashion.
Transformers Girls: Megan Fox White Pants Vs. Rosie Huntington Whiteley’s White Mini Dresses

Just one little Transformers thing before I let go today! If you thought I was joking about Michael Bay’s obsession with girls dressed in white during the heavy action scenes from his Transformers movies, take a look below!
There’s no need to be a Transformers fanatic or a Transformers fan to know that the Transformers brunette sensation Megan Fox was replaced by Victoria’s Secret Angel Rosie Huntington – Whiteley (trivia – you will notice, during the movie, that Sam calls Carly “Angel”).
Besides being blond and British, Rosie’s character has to fall under the cliché knife in order to fit in the Trasformers franchise. And while Megan Fox was breathtaking in short jeans gravitating around motorcycles, Rosie wears stubbornly short dresses, all white if possible (with a single noticeable blue sequined exception) and felinely walks in and out or around classy, luxurious, rare cars.
