Megan Fox Beauty Campaign For Giorgio Armani
July 8th, 2011 by kpriss
A few days ago we talked about Megan Fox and her new Armani Beauty Campaign so here’s her video commercial issued for the occasion. There’s also a new “behind the scenes” video called “World of Beauty” also issued by Giorgio Armani Beauty.
The behind the scenes video features Megan Fox in a short interview about beauty products, her makeup habits and what she thinks her more beautiful feature is (just to be clear on this – I don’t favor Megan because I have a new found love for her. I simply believe she would’ve done a far better job than Rosie in the last Transformers and I hopelessly believe her place is with the Autobots). My favorite thing from this interview? “I think that what affects me the most is when my 8yo stepson tells me I’m beautiful.” Awwwww!

Valentino Haute Couture Fall Winter 2011 2012 Paris Fashion Show
July 8th, 2011 by kpriss
I’m always amazed by the work put into the haute couture garments. However, if I had no seen the pictures from Valentino’s Fall 2011 Haute Couture collection on the original website, I would’ve never guessed the treasures you can discover at a closer inspection! Take for instance the gray hued dress below – the lil’ white dots you see on it? They’re white pearls sewn to the dress!
And the most overwhelming, in my view, was the dress worn by Jourdan Dunn. At a first sight you wouldn’t understand there’s something really amazing about that gown. But when she turned, my eyes were delighted with the most precious, sweet detail: mimicking (I guess) a spine’s bones connections, bows were attached to the dress. It looked scary and gorgeous at the same time! (click here to see the images! and don’t miss the video after the jump!)
Emma Watson’s Oscar De La Renta Tulle Dress For Harry Potter Premiere
July 7th, 2011 by kpriss
So this is it? Harry Potter is no more? The last movie from the Harry Potter series just premiere in London. The actors bid their farewells, to say it the Brit way, everyone cried, even Emma Watson, even JK Rowling!
However, like I already admitted, I’m not one to know how to deal with dramas. So I will just skip to the fashion part of the evening: Emma Watson was wearing a gray-ish tulle dress by Oscar de la Renta (from the fall winter 2011 2012 collection). Too bad about her hair, though. I understand she’s growing it out, but why she had to flatten it so, it’s beyond my understanding. Other than that, she looks lovely, doesn’t she? (come on, be nice, it’s the last Harry Potter, they look so sad! don’t miss the rest of the images, click here for the gallery!) (photos via 1, 2)

Devon Aoki’s Post Baby Body
July 7th, 2011 by kpriss
Talking about mothers and life after motherhood: did you know that Devon Aoki is now a mother? Yep she is! She gave birth to a baby boy on June 11, 2011 (her fiancé, James Bailey announced the happy news along with a Twitpic the very day of the joyful event).
However, nearly a month has passed now and Devon Aoki was seen around town with her baby and fiancé. And what do you know? She hasn’t regained her avant baby body! How is that possible, you might ask! With so many models mothers out there miraculously giving birth and looking like they had never been pregnant just the day after? Well, Devon Aoki is not an alien, my daaahlings! (and that doesn’t earn her a Vogue cover in the next four months either!)
Givenchy Haute Couture Fall Winter 2011 2012 Paris Fashion Show
July 7th, 2011 by kpriss
And that, my lovelies, is why I love Haute Couture! There’s nothing like it! The theatrical value of the sartorial creations and the immense amounts of time and work invested in those outrageously beautiful haute couture creations is just… leaving me speechless. Breathless.
Riccardo Tisci’s Givenchy Fall Winter 2011 2012 Haute Couture Fashion show revolved around white and white-ish. Around purity and tranquility. The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Of the fashion being. (don’t miss the video right after the jump!) (photos via)
Balenciaga Fall Winter 2011 2012 Ad Campaign
July 7th, 2011 by kpriss
Usually, it takes a high fashion profile magazine to premiere a high profile fashion house’s ad campaign for the next season. However, with the new print vs. virtual media revolution, it would appear that, at least under an experimental title, the virtual media has won! The next Balenciaga Fall Winter 2011 2012 ad campaign will break online first.
Julia Nobis, Liisa Winkler, Carla Gebhart, Juliane Gruner posed for Steven Meisel in a NY studio and also in a Harlem church (if I had to choose, I’d go for the Harlem church: the contrast between the classic, antique stone setting and the geometrical, clean Balenciaga cuts looks really good). I wonder why they used the bathroom tiles setting, though. Why not recreate a virtual grid and use it as a backsplash? I will most certainly look more futuristic than a bathroom… (via)
Karlie Kloss For Oscar de la Renta Fall Winter 2011 2012 Ad Campaign
July 7th, 2011 by kpriss
Having seen Karlie Kloss closing the Christian Dior Haute Couture fall 2011 collection the other day reminded me of this first image from her Oscar de la Renta Fall Winter 2011 2012 Ad Campaign.
Why is everyone turning to street style photography? Doesn’t that big red Stop sign reminds of a picture we once discussed together? The chromatic is great and Karlie’s movement proves once more what a great model she is and Craig McDean managed to capture her from a truly artistic perspective. Doesn’t she look cartoonish? In a sartorial kind of way, biensur! (photo via)
Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen Do GQ. Moms Body Power!
July 7th, 2011 by kpriss
Heidi Klum and Gisele Bundchen. Completely fashion related and yet, mothers; Heidi and Gisele, absolutely models from head to toes and mothers above all.
I love this. And it’s empowering not only for all the mothers out there but also for all the aspiring mothers out there! Heidi Klum and Gisele Bundchen were featured in the latest GQ issue (the Russian edition) looking nothing short of gorgeous and glamorous. Ladies? There is life after motherhood! Just look at these two and disagree, I dare you! (photos via)
