Lace Drama: Tadashi Shoji Fall Winter 2012 2013
February 10th, 2012 by kpriss
I turned to Tadashi Shoji’s Fall Winter 2012 2013 collection with a heart bursting with hope. He was on the Golden Globes Red Carpet – there has to be some color and glamour in there! Guess what? It’s all drama, lace & drama! Sheer drama, strong colors. Layering and a little something reminding me of McQueen. Adding another Fashion Week must: lace up, build the drama!

February 10th, 2012 by kpriss
After seeing BCBG Max Azria’s colorful (although pretty severe) geometry, it’s time for another dark register moment: Cynthia Rowley Fall Winter 2012 2013. Jumpsuits, work suits, play suits – you name it, as long as you could wear it to hard, sweaty work, it was there! It’s a dark couture work day, everyone! Better suit up! (oh, and notice the frizzy hair? Who needs time to blow dry when it’s all work – work – work?)

I warned you, though: Fashion Week is on! Some of the most notables (for me, biensur) looks from the New York catwalks will be included here in daily reports. Brief and concise, I hope you’ll enjoy them just as much as I do! So here’s BCBG Max Azria Fall Winter 2012 2013: geometry, color blocks. Simple and catchy, like toddlers colored wooden cubes! Stack, belt, ready to go!

Jessica Stam’s Paule Ka Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign
February 9th, 2012 by kpriss
There’s a heavy retro breeze sweeping the Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaigns. Paule Ka’s Spring 2012 campaign is tres seventies, tres chic and tres nice. Not just because of the beautiful and highly wearable clothes within (which make me dream of summer!) but also because of Jessica Stam.
La Stam looks vacation ready in Venetia Scott’s pictures, like waiting for something exciting to happen! (however, if you hit the jump, please help me with something: is it me, or Jessica Stam looks bored in almost every single fashion shoot she’s in? oh, and do you think she’s going to get ad campaigns in the future since she went brunette?)
Lindsay Lohan, Blonde, With Fringe, Dressed In White
February 9th, 2012 by kpriss
Lindsay Lohan is trying to convince us that her wild days are behind her now. And she’s doing that by changing her hair, wearing white and smiling bright. Someone must have told her that everyone loves white right now. Sadly (for her), Lindsay is as convincing as a polar bear on a sandy, sunny beach!
Kate Moss Is Gorgeous And Over Retouched For Madame Figaro
February 9th, 2012 by kpriss
We watch tons of animated movies in the Frizz household. And that’s not just because we, the Frizz Adults, are crazy in love with animations but also because we happen to have four kids. Who, as respectable Frizz kids, looooove animations!
Long story short (wink): there’s this amazing character in Pixar’s Cars movies: Mater. Mater is aaaah-dorable! He’s a rusty toe truck with a heart of gold who loves his friends and his memories! As such, he was very offended when someone offered to “fix” him: straighten up his scratched, heavily bent, rusty doors (or something). Why? Well, because every scratch is there to remind him of the good times he had with his friends. And he loves each and every friend, and each and every scratch and rust spot!
I’m guessing the people from Madame Figaro never took time from their fashion busy schedule to watch Cars. Otherwise they would’ve never performed such heavy retouching and skin smoothing on lovely Kate Moss who was photographed for their January 27th issue! My God! Her skin is smoother than my 4-year-old daughter’s! Please stop insulting our intelligence with these scandalously modified images!
