Matthew Williamson Resort 2013 Collection: Tailored Party Outfits

Having a fun party outfit doesn’t necessarily means throwing whatever, wherever on your back, as illustrated by Matthew Williamson’s Resort 2013 Collection. He put his trademark colorful prints to serious sartorial work and came up with a very structured, almost rigidly shaped 27 pieces collection. But I’m loving the different textures and the way he mixed it all together. It’s fun and youthful! {style}

How quick was that, really? Designer collection’s lookalikes constantly fill our wardrobes via some of the most prestigious fast fashion brands so here’s just another example of just another type of counterfeiting haute fashion.

Remember the beautiful red dress worn by Duchess Catherine for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee? We talked about the flawless McQueen red dress and we signaled that Sarah Burton even added long sleeves (and lengthened the skirt) for the lovely Duchess.

I was browsing around and a particular piece of news about the above mentioned dress caught my attention!

More about the Maison Martin Margiela collection with Hennes and Mauritz! This is definitely the official confirmation I’ve been waiting for! Two teaser videos have surfaced, trying to sell us the complete fashion success that Maison Martin Margiela H & M collaboration is aiming to be.

Be warned, though! If you think these two videos (the Men collection teaser is right after the jump) will bring any light on the collection matter, better forget about it! Yes, it promises the simple coolness that MMM stands for, but from there to actually delivering it on H & M racks… I don’t know!

My daahlings? Have you seen Prometheus yet? I was (as expected) blown away by Noomi Rapace’s presence and acting. Clearly, the camera loves Noomi. And so do we.

He latest magazine appearance, for Maxim Portugal June 2012 shows just how versatile Noomi can be and, biensur, dishes on Prometheus and her character, Doctor Elizabeth Shaw. I’ll just take a step back and enjoy the visuals, leaving the Prometheus controversy behind. (however, if you do feel in the mood, I’m all ears – let’s talk about the movie, its writer – Damon Lindelof – being haunted by Lost and, most importantly, the answers to Alien & more questions)

I have a serious amount of appreciation for Carolina Herrera’s designs. She makes fashion seem so lady – suitable, so timeless! Effortless elegance has Carolina Herrera written all over it! Her Resort 2013 Collection is so bright, fun and sophisticated that I can’t imagine someone would ever dislike it! 20 pieces of fashion examples made with love!{Style}

I would normally greet and cheer an ad campaign that glamorizes the Back to School season. Except this DSquared2 Fall Winter 2012 2013 ad campaign focuses on entirely different aspects of the schooling activity. It’s more like Clueless meets Gossip Girl and they all pass the House Bunny test!

That aside, I think the clothes are great, totally taking my mind off of school related issues, plunging me back into the 60s fashion era via Instagram (don’t be fooled, though, even if you think you can reproduce the same visuals through the much acclaimed app, these campaign pictures were taken by Mert and Marcus)! I think I already confessed my addiction to Kurt Sutter’s Sons of Anarchy TV Series – it’s buried deep down in my heart, next to Homeland!

If you’re not familiar with SoA, just think of it as an extremely intense and well written series about a Motorcycle Club.

Now, place Ashley Tisdale in that décor (as she’s allegedly playing an escort in the next season) and you’ll be all “whaaaat?!” just like me! {TVline}
