Sweet McQueen Dress!
July 13th, 2012 by kpriss
We all love Alexander McQueen’s work and honor his legacy the best way we can! But a dress made entirely out of Haribo bears sounds just as off – beat as the late designer’s original models. 50,000 gummy bears, three persons to handle it, and a weight that’ll make you skip the workout training an entire year, here’s Hissa Igarashi and Sayuri Marakumi’s Haribo McQueen dress for Twelv! Yummy!
Dior Like A Lady: Mila Kunis Miss Dior Bags 2012 Ad Campaign
July 13th, 2012 by kpriss
Controversy surrounds Mila Kunis. And my guess is she likes it that way. I remember her from The Book of Eli – alongside Denzel Washington where she was hardly your usual young starlet. Then followed Black Swan, delivering confirmation (at least for me) that she wasn’t going to walk Hollywood’s crystals paved road. That she would make her own path to success.
It is, however, nothing but sheer delight to see Mila Kunis looking like a lady for Dior’s Miss Dior handbags new ad campaign!
What Ring For Her Or Him This Summer? Bottle Opener Ring
July 13th, 2012 by kpriss
When your boyfriend presents himself with a ring box and a wide grin on his face, you might as well suspect that something’s going on. Something that’s not paved with diamonds or colorful sparkling stones! The Bottle Opener Ring is the latest sensation on the interwebs, I’m sure a lot of girls out there dream of having their own! Don’t be surprised if it’ll go flying out the window after you open the gift box, though! {etsy}
Olivia Munn’s Giorgio Armani ESPY Awards Dress Looks Pretty Ordinary
July 13th, 2012 by kpriss
I though I’d go around the ESPY Awards Red Carpet. Couldn’t. Olivia Munn changed my mind with her Giorgio Armani gray dress!
ESPY Awards stands for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards and is presented by the notorious network TV ESPN. The ESPY Red Carpet was put in place for the ceremony on July 11 and eminent sports stars as well as entertainment famous faces were there to greet the fans. Olivia Munn included.
But what was she wearing? Giorgio Armani, they say. I think you could find something alarmingly similar on American Apparels’ racks. The dress is not only boringly simple but really ordinary and hardly fit for a red carpet summer moment. I know, I know, it really emphasizes one’s silhouette (and undergarments, not to mention sweat spots), but from all fashion has to offer, this was your best choice, Olivia?

The New Online Clothing Shopping Experience
July 13th, 2012 by kpriss
I tend to hesitate when it comes to buying clothes online. And not just because I like the in – store dressing room experience, but also because I need to see how the garment fits before really buying it. There’s an app for me and those like me: WSS. Using Microsoft Kinect technology, it allows the online shopper to try the garment (on screen) through an augmented reality mirror. It’s hard to explain, but press play and see if you could give it a try: {PSFK}
Virgin Uniforms From Banana Republic
July 13th, 2012 by kpriss
A Project Runway type of initiative, the new Virgin America uniforms as designed by Banana Republic look classy and modern. Take that red (on my screen it’s pretty much orange, but I assume it’s Virgin red) trench coat – is really timeless and lovely!
Not to mention the leather jacket! Thirteen styles were reportedly created for women and nine styles for men. Covering the seasonal palette (from jackets to shirts), the new uniforms will, however, be available only for the Virgin America crew members.
Don’t be sad, there’s something for the rest of us too! The travel-inspired Banana Republic aviator sunglasses, trenches, tote and messenger bag in selected Banana stores (and Virgin America’s Red Channel) beginning August 7. Will you buy items from the Virgin cabin crew’s collection? (why?)
Coffee On The Go: Starbucks Opening Inside Funeral Home
July 13th, 2012 by kpriss
If there was no Starbucks around, I probably would’ve invented it. Kidding. But I do love myself the occasional Starbucks treat. However, I read today that Starbucks coffees are available Inside a certain Funeral Home in Carolina. Kid you not! If you’re passing through Easley, South Carolina it’s at Robinson Funeral Home. Because, you know, some need a Starbucks fix for the last road, mkay? {Gawker}
Marion Cotillard Double Cover Incident: Vogue Paris Vs Vogue US August 2012
July 13th, 2012 by kpriss
Although it’s officially the summer holiday break, I have so many things I’d like to talk to you about! So many, I nearly forgot talking about the lovely Marion Cotillard pulling a double Vogue duty this month!
Both Vogue Paris and Vogue US have put Marion Cotillard on their August 2012 cover. Vogue US looks like the usual cover (probably shot by Testino) as for the French Vogue (Mario Sorrenti) – it looks like a previous AnOther cover (photographed by Ellen von Unwerth).
Despite the double cover incident and given my fondness for Marion, it’s a nice, coherent visual move from the house of Vogue. I’m really curious about the inside content now, especially the main pictorial, for the comparison’s sake. For the moment, I can’t pick a favorite. Can you?
