It definitely looks like one of those impossible hipsters haircuts that anyone can perform in a dark room with a blunt scissors. I mean anyone! My daughter can do that to her hair (God Forbid!) from the height of her almost 5yo!

(first: I had absolutely no idea that Bianca Balti has a child! Did you?) She has a daughter who is 4 and whom she loves to pieces! Remember when I was talking about motherhood and active life & beauty possible cohabitation? It’s been a while since we last talked coffee table books! But now it’s a good time to get back on the literary track since we just watched Kate Moss living her dream of being in a George Michael music video.

So, like the title said, (another) Kate: The Kate Moss Book is coming. Like all good fashion things, it is scheduled for launch during the fall season (November 6, they say, you can preorder it here) by Rizzoli. Including pictures taken by Hedi Slimane, Juergen Teller, Mario Testino and so many other fash – luminaries, the book wants to show Kate’s amazing trajectory in fashion and all fash – collaterals. And who better to edit this book if not her former boyfriend, father of her daughter, Jefferson Hack (editor of Dazed and Confused)?

… and as much as I like Owls (this white one looks particularly impressive), I was way more impressed by last season’s butterflies. However, I’m happy that Edun remains coherent in their marketing identity, this Fall Winter 2012 2013 ad campaign, as photographed by the same Ryan McGinley shows that the summer particular aesthetic wasn’t random. Let’s face it, while some brands strive to get across a larger demographic, some just aren’t built that way. And Isabella Rossellini isn’t your average woman / actress. So, the marriage between Isabella and Bulgari looks in the natural order of things, especially when immortalized by Annie Leibovitz!

Before we burry the Birkin, how about we take a look at the competition? The new must wear bag, introduced by Mulberry, is the Bryn! Barely launched and already hanging on some very famous shoulders: Keira Knightley and Alexa Chung were seen around town with their own Mulberry Bryns. It’s really hard to ignore W’s covers lately. Maybe that’s what they’re after? So, even if a couple of months later, W Magazine’s August 2012 issue brings Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender right out of Prometheus into a promiscuously steamy 50 Shades of Grey – like pictorial.

(what? Not familiar with 50SoG? Don’t sweat over it, it’s the new Twilight for adults. Literally. With BDSM and more, but a bestseller nevertheless – speaking of which – it would appear that, in spite of everything, adult, NC – 17 – rated literature is a higher seller than old fashioned literature!
