Fashion World Record: A Woman Owns 16,400 Pairs Of Shoes!

So when you’ll think that you’ve gone overboard and bought three pairs of shoes during the same season of the year (say 3 pairs of sandals or 3 pairs of boots), you should go gently on yourself! There’s someone out there with 16,400 pairs of shoes in her closet! Whoa, right? Darlene Flynn from Romoland California reportedly owns the World Record for most pair of shoes collected in the past 11 years worth $500,000. What would you choose: quality or quantity? {Telegraph}

You know Carine Roitfeld is doing a makeup collection with M.A.C. . Don’t you? But then again, who’s not doing a MAC collection nowadays is not a recognized fashionista! But let’s talk about Carine’s Makeup, shall we?

One to many times I’ve slept with my mascara on. Because I was too lazy when I went to bed, because I wanted to look beautiful in my sleep or simply because I like the look of my mascara wearing down the next morning. Carine Roitfeld, my dahlings, also likes the tired sexy look of the next morning’s mascara. Because, you know, great minds think alike (wink).

As I already confessed, my (fashion) appreciation for Kate Moss grew considerably in the past months. Her fashion longevity, her discretion, her way of being fashion consistent and her loyalty for her own style got me thinking there must be more to her than just another model out there.

I’m clearly not the only one thinking that way and certainly won’t be the last! Free People’s September 2012 lookbook, as photographed by Guy Aroch, is like an entire tribute to Kate Moss! Guilty of the charges brought against him, no longer a Chevalier de la Legion D’Honneur, John Galliano still doesn’t give up. Fashionista reports that he’s going back to court, this time as the plaintiff in a case against his former employer: Christian Dior S.A (owned by LVMH).

We don’t know how he motivated his complaint, but we did hear that he’s claiming over $18.85 Million in damages. French drama to be continued!

This is definitely an ad campaign made to measure my own heart! Despite of it being a fashion film, it really is funny! And that’s a rare thing in the Fashion Industry where everyone (and their dog) takes everything so darn gloomy seriously!

Joan Smalls is perfect! The car is perfect (duh! It’s a Mercedes Benz! How else could it be?) and Mario Testino captured the joyful spirit of this campaign perfectly as well! I know you can probably imagine the plot just by looking at the picture below, but do take my word for it, nothing beats the real video giggles! Check it out after the jump!
