Christian Lacroix Makes Gola Sneakers

If you worried that the haute couture sneaker faces its twilight, here’s something to cheer you up: Christian Lacroix teamed up with British sportswear brand Gola.

The collaboration gave birth to twins (as the Hollywood twins trend requires!) – two Christian Lacroix Gola sneakers: one black and white and another gold and silver. They’re available at the Christian Lacroix stores. Even if I find the sneaker theme a little too much for me to bear, I think this kind of mix between haute couture and affordable street wear benefits both sides. The HC gains in popularity and gets in touch with the present times and cultures, the street fashion brand refines its products and educates the customers. At least that’s my take on things.
