Fashion Meet Tech – Vivienne Tam HP Digital Clutch Summer 2009

Vivienne Tam Spring Summer 2009 Collection wasn’t all that bad. Wasn’t all that good either. Somehow, even if the clothes look good at first, at a second glance, it all seemed so unfit, so poorly cut that I was a minute away from wrongfully blaming the skinny-framed models for not giving the proper credits to Vivienne Tam’s designs.

Couture aside, the prints stole the show entirely. As you know, my inner dress self took control over the keyboard and only reported the maxi print dresses. Lovely! However. I have to break the catwalk report for the most unusual sighting – a mini laptop clutch bearing the HP signature and Vivienne Tam style. Isn’t this purely gorgeous? My inner geeky self took control over my inner dress self. (read all about the HP Digital clutch and Vivienne Tam’s spring summer 2009 show and don’t miss the pictures after the jump)

Vivienne Tam Spring Summer 2009 Collection

Vivienne Tam teamed with HP for the styling of the 8.9-inch 2133 Mini-Note next generation mini note (this Digital Clutch features a 10inch screen). The result is a bright red peony flower design with a unique China Chic air. There are, however, two sad news that accompany this beauty: the first one is that the HP Digital Clutch will only be available early next year and the second one that the price is yet unknown (judging by the price for the 8.9 inch – around $700, I’d say it will come up to $1,000). So I’d better start saving some money! I know, I got carried away, but since the Air Book, I haven’t been so impressed with a tech release! Especially since it’s a fashion edition! Would you buy one?

Uhhh the prints are a bit too flowery for me and so much red does get eye soring after a while.
Vivienne is Chinese and red means a lot to their culture.Peonies and Chrysanthemums are their fav flowers I’m told so this laptop is surely going to be a smash on the Chinese market.I like it too,its a small dose of red and I would’nt say no to it.

Oh, I love that laptop! It looks beautiful. But as Dolly Bird said, in a small dose and yes red does sore the eyes after while.
I’m not in need for two laptops but if so it would be this nice gadget, sure! The € is still stronger than the $ (Europeans buys a lot in the US these days – they even make shopping trips!) but if that’s still the same next year…..but that’s another issue….I love that laptop!
