I admit that when I first saw this, I felt the snake bite deep into my heart as ever since I became aware of these wonders, I wanted a slice of my own: a Hermes Scarf is just as legendary as a Hermes bag. The extreme craftsmanship and care for detail turned a simple piece of printed fabric into art.
Monica Fittipaldi (if the name rings a bell, it’s because Monica is the daughter – in – law of racecar driver Emerson Fittipaldi) decided to turn the legendary scarves into pillow cases! Her collection of vintage Hermes scarves (going as back as 1934, when the Hermes scarves first appeared) turned into a very exclusive line of pillowcases with prices from $1,000 to $1,300, the luxury artisan items can be special ordered through her company, L’atelier Carre. So what say you, my dahlings? Scarf – pillow. Pillow – scarf? Both? (grin)
