A Hermes Birkin Green Ostrich Bag In Transformers 3 Dark Side Of The Moon!

There’s a few things you will have to follow in this new Transformers 3, Dark of the Moon, aside from the glorious special effects. At least as far as I am concerned. The first one, biensur, is Rosie Huntington – Whiteley’s acting (as opposed to Megan Fox).

Then there’s the inevitable product placement you will be confronted with during the movie. And I’m not talking about iPads (though you will notice at least one) or Cisco routers. I’m talking fashion, baby! Fashion! If I will have to notice Transformers accessories – Louis Vuitton and Hermes bags! Yes, not even on the Dark Side of the Moon you can’t stay away from LV and Hermes, nor can you hide from Michael Bay’s white clothing ambition!

So if you happen to get inside the theatre for a full action packed Transformers session and Michael Bay’s distinctively explosive style won’t numb your fashion attention, then you may be able to find there’s a Hermes Birkin Green Ostrich bag starring in this flick! Right next to a Louis Vuitton.

Where / who? In a key scene next to Frances McDormand’s character, Charlotte Mearing. Although the bag is carried along by her Asian aide (played by Keiko Agena), Charlotte’s Mearing character gives specific details about wanting to be handed the Hermes Birkin green ostrich bag. Please, if you heard differently, step forward and give me a hand here – was that really a Birkin she was referring to? I remember the golden lock but I don’t recollect the exact details of the design!

I would love to continue this Transformers story, it’s as entertaining as it gets, however, you’ll have to tell me if you’d like that too. Come, come, let’s talk some Michael Bay, Transformers and anything (cliché) in-between! (photos via)

Saw the movie,
yes she mentions a Birkin green, but she is handed a Kelly..
Big mistake from the wardrobe people.

I thought so myself! I heard her saying that she wanted the Birkin but instead I saw a Hermes with shoulder strap which reminded me of the Kelly…

Oh, is Transformers that good I have to see it? Kpriss you recommend me to rent the dvd’s? Because I can’t go to see nr.3 when I have not seen the former ones right?
A confession? I wouldn’t notice the difference in a film. Only when I see them like here. I never saw a Hermes bag for real to be honest or didn’t pay attention……Anyone else?

Is that a Rosie-still from the film? Meh…

I don’t know if I would go as far as calling it a “good” film. I think it’s an impressive motion picture altogether. The first two? hm.. The first, yes, definitely. The second not so much. But it’s a very entertaining franchise and I think it’s a must see in the same measure as any of the Mission Impossible movies is too. This “Dark side of the moon” was absolutely the most impressive so far!

I wanted to see this third one. Because they replaced Megan with Rosie and because I did not felt Rosie, theatrically, not one bit. And I think I was right. 80% of the reviews I laid my eyes on were crying after Megan. Which can be spoiler enough for people like you and me who love movies and appreciate the quality and the surprise in a movie.

I haven’t ever touched a Hermes in my life. But I’ve seen a lot of them around. Now if they were the real deal or replicas, that’s another story. However, I found it extremely funny, under the circumstances of that described scene, to hear a CIA top executive (because that’s what Frances’ character was) distinctively call out for a Hermes bag. Funny… in a very fashionable kind of way, just like Sam is calling Carly (Rosie’s character) “Angel” in the movie. It’s a fashion trivia, after all ;)

THANKYOU THANKYOU, The director asked for a Green Birkin, but instead her assistance hand over a Kelly. The difference is that the Kelly open toward the front, and the Birkin just open. It is pretty clear that the bag was not a Birkin!! How could they do that?? misnaming one of the most important bag in the fashion industry!!

Yeah me too. Same here I hear what she says! It’s not Birkin, it’s Kelly!

Does anyone know what type of Louis Vuitton she had- It looked like a soft breifcase with handles that slid into the case so could be more of a large document wallet- I have contact LV and they have been really unhelpful- so any ideas would be great.
