With every new collection I discover for the Spring Summer 2010, I get the most amazing winter-ish feeling from the designs! Balenciaga Spring Summer 2010 makes no exception with all that leather!
The skinny leather pants and the geometrical, asymmetrical cuts have a very urban feeling, slowly whispering to me “let us join together in a one big club rocking nation!”. (the story continues right after the jump with more images and a short video of the collection!)
I sometimes wish I could be that skinny to pull off a skinny pants-look just like a model! But I ain’t so I won’t. I dropped the skinny pants more than a year ago and I won’t take that fashion back under no wardrobe recession circumstance (for the good fashion cause, however, I’ll include one of those rock’n’skinny looks from Ghesquière’s show)! I do love those geometrical multi-strips, multi-colored tops! They mess up with your silhouette, that’s for sure, but they’re so aesthetically striking!
Nicolas Ghesquière’s Spring Summer 2010 cuts make you forget about the physical allure of the wearer instead switching your focus to the fabric texture, the print’s undercuts and color scratches.
It may not be the most wearable collection for Summer 2010 but surely is one of those beautiful fashion examples making you fall in love with designers and their powers to bend and twist fabric again and again and again! (you can see pictures of the entire collection here)
