If only a couple of months ago, the rumors placed Gemma on the runway, now they made an 180 turn, placing her in the maternity this November when her baby is allegedly due. While we’re completely over the moon with excitement as any new baby is always reason to celebrate, we can’t help but wonder what the fashion future holds next for the beautiful mom-to-be.
oh, and just in case you’re wondering who the happy father is David Letts, also a model whose on and off relationship with the Australian model wasn’t all that promising. But here they are! And here we are, waiting for Gemma’s comeback on a Vogue cover and she’s six months along, so bring on the baby bump pics, thank you! (also in Vogue if possible)

UPDATE: We’ve seen too little of Gemma’s pregnant months as she spent a lot of time in Hawaii. The few couple of pictures where she’s cradling her growing baby bump show her as radiant as any expecting mom, with an unbelievable aura of normalcy and good vibes we don’t get to see too often in (pregnant) supermodels. (could be also because she’s retired from the fashion world for more than 5 years?)

Gemma gave birth on December 1st in Hawaii and upon her release from the hospital, the very first pictures of her and her wee baby quickly traveled the world. Little Naia takes after her supermodel mom as pictures of the wee one emerged late January from a trip to Sidney and if it were up to me, I’d give her a Vogue cover on the spot! (awww!) Maybe Gemma’s IMG contract signing everyone was so happy about was actually for little Naia? (her name is said to have been inspired by Gemma’s Pirates of the Caribbean role as Naia means water nymph in the Ancient Greek Mythology but it also means dolphin in Hawaiian)
