Do you have the watch passion? Yes, like in timepiece watch? I’m still waiting for it to hit me. But I’m not impatient about it because I know that time is money. And timepieces make no exception to the time rule either! But it’s well worth the effort. Take this special Blancpain Saint Valentin 2013 limited edition watch!
As the name points it out, it was precisely made for this year’s Valentine’s Day, as last year’s special edition (only 99 pieces were made), also honoring this celebration of love. Let’s take a closer look at this precious beauty!
I can’t help but smile whenever I lay eyes on that flurry of red hearts! They’re on the dial, the sides, the rotor and also on the back! I really love this addition – keeping an eye on the hour and smiling at the same time it’s not an easy task to fulfill! Strongly contrasting with the mother – of – pearl dial and the diamond hour markers, the added hearts look vivid and cartoonish.
Which might just be the last you’d think about when inspecting a $21.200 watch! Eh oui, it’s because of the two rows of full – cut diamonds you notice all around the steel case. Let’s not overlook the white ostrich leather strap with even more hearts on the alzavel lining! Last but not least – the technical specs are as close to perfection as humanly possible with a mechanical self – winding Calibre 1150.
All in all, it’s really a precious piece of time – work coming from the world’s oldest watch brand! But what would you expect from this Swiss watch manufacturer who signed one of the most complicated mechanical watches ever but also created the world’s smallest movement and the world’s thinnest movement?
