One of the most surprising piece of news from last week was Katie filing for divorce from Tom Cruise. We were more or less convinced, at the beginning of TomKat, that something wasn’t right. And here she is, five years later, filing from divorce.

Some say she seems to be growing wings now that she senses freedom is near. Some say that Scientology people trail her every move. Who are we to know everything that’s going on? Just bystanders. As such, we have the advantage of being able to think outside the heat wave and remember a Dawson’s Creek moment, almost defining for Katie Holmes: “On My Own”.
