Mango Vs. Kate Moss: The Awkward Interview

We all know Kate Moss and her famous public silence (as imposed by her ex – beau, Johnny Depp). We love her anyway. But what do we get when Kate does speak. Finally? (well, she did speak before, but this particular Mango interview has put her in a really awkward position)

Collaborating with the Spanish giant retailer Mango, Kate Moss is not just the pretty face & the flawless body fronting the brand’s ad campaigns for four seasons already. She’s also the brand’s ambassador for special events. Such as a young fashion designers competition and subsequent awards ceremony. For the occasion, Mango conducted a brief Q&A with the legendary model. Legendary fail.

Legendary fail? I don’t think so. That whole interview is awkward. Including the interviewer plus the interpreter whom I hear at the background.

Kate looks always very shy to me when interviewed. Does anyone know why Johnny Depp advised her not to speak?

Models are hardly interesting to listen too. Our own Doutzen spoke more sensible before she became famous. Or rather said in her early days of fame. Listen to her these days hurts my ears and make me cringe. Maybe it’s the water models drink?

She’s cute at the end when she tells how she likes to celebrate the Queen’s jubilee this weekend. :)

I think the editing was poor. Kate is the ultimate it gal for me. This interview just showed she is still that girl from Croyden (except for the twist of fate) – IMHO.

From what I read, Johnny advised her not to speak in order to maintain the mystery aura around her. To keep people always interested about her. Which she did. And he did too ;)

Yeah, must be something in their water ;)

keiKo – she’s cute, almost too natural & down to earth to be credible!

I think the entire interview was un – professional – editing, questioning (I watched an interview she did with Mango last season and it wasn’t all that bad…)

Yes, it was Johnny. I remember that now. I think she should speak because her accent is adorable in my Dutch ears.

Exactly Kate is down to earth and credible. She’s a loyal friend. That’s why I like her plus her longevity!
