Oh, the irony! The pictures you’ll see below (and after the jump) come from Louis Vuitton’s Fall Winter 2012 2013 Ad Campaign. And if we’re to believe what wwd quoted from Marc Jacobs about the said campaign, this is what “the glamour of travel and the romance of going somewhere” look like!
The Louis Vuitton Express is comprised of 10 models (both female and male) as photographed by Steven Meisel in an effort to replicate the atmosphere of the actual FW 12 – 13 fashion show. I know it fits the Vuitton aesthetics and falls right into the austere trends for fall, but really? This is what glamour means to Marc Jacobs? Then heaven for him would be right in the middle of a ghost – haunted, spider – web – foggy, dusty attic! (chills down my spine!)

I do not think that Marc Jacobs thinks of women when he designs for women. He just makes things that he would like to wear, and we have all seen how that “works”.
