At first, when I saw these two covers, side by side, I was convinced it was some kind of experiment. Some fashion magazine editor decided to try a little photo – adventure on Daphne Groeneveld and land her a kind of before / after pictorial.
But no. These were reported as actual fashion magazine covers for Self Service Spring 2012. And Daphne is as eyebrowless and as quirky beautiful for both of them. I do prefer her in black and white, though, that red lipstick doesn’t help her much, as trendy and as must – wear may red lips be right now! How about you, what’s your favorite cover?

I know it is mean to say it but models today are so fug – IMHO. There are a few exceptions but it is a shame that this is the chosen cover of a young girl.
keiKo, I partly agree. But there are too many far too young models we talked about this earlier. Daphne definitely does look better without the layers of make up.
I don’t like both covers. It’s like she thinks: “look what they did to my eyebrows :((“
Egads!
This is alarming, and not in a good way.
truth being told, Daphne is pretty special. Her appearance is far from ordinary and this must be one of the main reasons she’s one of today’s favorite models. Much like Lindsey Wixson last year? I guess they really wanted to experiment with her eyebrows… Although it’s a pretty non – imaginative approach of style and beauty, so many copying it all over the place. Who started this brow-less movement anyway?
The one (can’t remember the name) that advised Karen Elson? ;)
Dutch Vogue will be out on March22. With a Dutch model on the cover. It’s a secret whom it will be. We have quite some good models right?
Can’t wait! :)
