I was just looking for some more Christmas music to add to our usual Christmas playlist and I found this rather disturbing piece of news saying that Gaga has a Christmas album going out this week.
Lady Gaga. Christmas Caroling. Really disturbing. Listening to White Christmas won’t be the same anymore, now that my ears have listened to her Gaganess! She even added more lyrics to the song because, she said, it was too short (you can hear her singing by clicking here)! You know, Gaga, there’s a reason to keep it so short – to make it more pleasurable. You should try it, sometimes! (keeping it short). So would you Listen to Gaga this Christmas?

I do not listen to her the other times of the year so there is no way in Tinsel Town that I will start listening to her at one of my favourite holidays of the year.
I still to the classics like Ella, Sinatra, and the contemporary like Harry Connick Jr. and Annie Lennox! They are singers who do not think that they are more important than the song.
Nope.
Amen to that DollyBird! : )
Ellington I’d rather listen to Alvin & The Chipmunks’ yuletide classics. At least they’d eat their X’mas turkey meat and not make dresses out of it….
Yes, and I have to commend you for that because Alvin and The Chipmunks would drive me hard liquor. : )
LOL Ellington.
Seriously though X’mas would not be X’mas in my household without Nat King Cole, The Carpenters & Nana Mouskouri’s yuletide albums. They’ve been part of the family since I was a kid & the tradition goes on.
As for contemporary X’mas albums I’m waiting for Michael Bublé’s release *sigh* :)
I to be honest I would have thought that Gaga would have at least dressed her self as some really horrid looking Christmas tree dress with all the trimmings.
: )
Another Canadian singer that I would highly recommend is Diana Krall, her Christmas cd is just stellar! : )
