Two of my favorite models together in the same ad campaign? That has to say something! (that I’m not the only one seeing how special they are, for instance?). Either way, the unearthly gorgeous Joan Smalls and the quirky Sasha Pivovarova joined hands and showed their party moods in an ad campaign for Giambattista Valli for Impulse at Macy’s.
A pretty special collection, in the haute fast fashion couture spirit, with prices ranging from $50 to $150, just in time for the Holidays! I think it falls right into the spirit of this truly festive weekend, don’t you?

Sublime third model with short hair is rising star model Hanaa Ben Abdesslem from Tunisia. Muslim models are rare so its always nice to them getting good coverage & high profile work :)
Thank you, DollyBird! Indeed they’re so very rare! At first I thought she was Saskia… Then I realized I’m not very familiar with her at all, so thank you for identifying her! I imagine there are some people who’d wish she’d stop doing this?
Kpriss I’ve seen Hanaa talking about herself on a TV show & indeed she has received death threats from extremists but she soldiers on. She took advantage of the Jasmin Revolution in Tunisia when the people ousted dictator Ben Ali to make a serious go at modelling. After Ralph Lauren she’s now preparing a major campaign for Jean Paul Gaultier.
The thing is I have a fascination with short haired models a la Hanaa. I’ve secretly always wanted to cut my hair short like her or my fav model Stella Tennant. Perhaps one day I’ll take the plunge…
This is a great layout and I love seeing models modeling lines instead of the usual “stars”. They all look so lovely!
Way to go Hanaa! Keep on keeping on! : )
