I was doing some quality reading on the fashinternet and, among other precious gems I already shared or will share with you, I found an interesting piece of information about men fashion. About the men’s approach of all things style.
As you may suspect, men’s fashion is a tricky field, as it often needs to break though a thick crust of preconceptions and clichés. Slowly but steadily, men fashion is being democratized and the love of style is starting to spread among the men population of the world. And if you want to know some of the main differences between women’s approach of fashion and fashcommerce and men’s perspective over the same issues, according to Mr Porter’s head of sales and marketing, Mario Muttenthaler, this is all there is: (oh, and please, share your opinions about the matter!)
“With women, they know a little more what they’re looking for, and they want to make sure it’s the right fit. Men really like to be inspired or told what to wear and how to wear it. A lot of guys like to learn about other ways to wear what they have. […] Men are tactical about their purchases, while women tend to be philosophical. Women want to spend more time on a site, shopping and discovering premium original content about the brand. Men want to get to their purchases faster.”
