Coming from someone who has found her style, few beauty tricks go a long way – for Dita von Teese surely isn’t your next door celebrity and will most definitely not change her style anytime soon.
So, in terms of beauty products and beauty rituals, here’s what works for Dita: Dior Capture Totale Foundation, MAC Mineralize Powder, Dior Dolce Vita red lipstick, Guerlain Divinora Liquid Liner, Dior Show Mascara and Crème de la Mer moisturizers. Her interview was filled with goodies, so here’s more (and just so you know, she’s even writing a beauty secrets book) :
Flawless skin is the most important thing, then red lips. In exactly that order. Red lips don’t look good on blotchy, uneven skin. […] Don’t underestimate the cosmetic power of sunglasses. It’s worth spending a bit of money on a quality pair. I usually go for Dior or Louis Vuitton.
[…]it doesn’t matter what moisturizer you use. Just make sure you put it on right after cleansing, while your skin is still damp. That way your pores can absorb it while they are still open. So choose any cream you like for the face and body.[…] A matte finish diffuses any features about my face that I’m not comfortable with, while shine highlights them. […]
Generally, getting that perfect, flattering [eyeliner] line is hard! I look down into a mirror to apply it so I can see the shape and match them up better. Make sure not to pull your eyelid out at the side, because when you let go, the line will be a completely different shape. […]

How dumb, really. I am tired of reading stupidities from self entitled help gurus in every area.
First, pores don’t absorb stuff. its function is just the opposite: excretion.
2nd,”The size of skin pores is determined by heredity and it is a common misconception that pores can be shrunken by various skin products. Another common misconception is that hot water will open pores while cold water closes them. However, pores can be made to APPEAR smaller by using an alcohol-based astringent to reduce oiliness and therefore minimize light reflection on the skin. This will make the pores look smaller when they are actually the SAME size.

mdinah…Style Terrorist! : )
Now that is funny! You should do a web cast or blog under that moniker! : )
good idea Ellington!
I wish I had the time and the patience to run a blog.
this is one of a very few I check daily as a stress reliever when work is getting on my nerves.
medinah; that’s a pity: I would love to follow a style terrorist. :D
Dita talks a lot of crap here. Everyone knows about the power eyeglasses they are my fave make-up. My skin is sometimes not that flawless but since I am human and I see often NOT so flawless skins I don’t care that much. Well, a bit of Touche Eclat here and there….do not lie you ginger!
I would love to see her for once not that impeccable, not with all that layers on her face. What’s underneath this all Dita? Because I can look flawless too when I am in the mood. Not today though since it rains and I clean my face after I have done my grocery shoppings to clean the pores and such…..
