It’s hardly surprising with the increasing amount of baby bundle joy news pouring in day after day that the couture houses would come up with baby / children gear to beautify your lil ‘ ones in a catwalk ready manner.
I’m sure the chances of those collections created for the little ones being sold instantly are constantly increasing with every growing baby bump, but to be honest, beyond the sheer admiration for the creative and crafting efforts behind the couture baby attires I find it hard to cope with the ridiculously high amounts of money you have to pay to get your baby (say) a pair of Burberry knickers. (and man, would I love to have my little one wearing the checked print!)
And even if, judging by the hautness of the brand, the prices may seem justifiable, all you have to do is imagine that the wee one wearing the classy Dior shoes will not only wear them for a maximum of three months, but he / she will also chew on them like they were biscuits! Then again, I’m sure little girls are so eager to wear leopard print Cavalli jumpsuits! So couture! (Childrensalon via)
