Salma Hayek’s V Spain 7 In Alexander McQueen

There’s something about Salma Hayek and Alexander McQueen. She somehow find his creation to be extremely representative for who she is now. Too bad she has to stick that décolleté out so much (don’t tell me you haven’t noticed – this Spanish edition of V magazine no7 isn’t the only occasion she’s showing off them curves) . I, on the other hand, always saw McQueen’s creations fit for some other frame, other than Salma Hayek’s. Which is perfectly charming as it is, only not very McQueen-ish in my eyes.

Then there’s something else: I love how she’s bringing McQueen into normality. Into the everyday life. It’s like living the extraordinary in the mundane. No stage needed (only a multimillionaire husband, maybe), no perfect physical frame, no model body. Just a normal woman (with a multimillionaire husband) wearing extraordinary clothing. That’s beautiful! Too bad they had to smooth her ad infinitum and beyond! I wonder what der Kaiser (Karl Lagerfeld is the photographer) had to say about the Photoshop laminate work. What’s your take on Salma’s V? (photo via)
