Now that’s a cover girl! And that’s an artsy cover. To my eye. Not just because Dakota Fanning’s immensely talented acting self is going further and higher into the Hollywood hills but also because the images, as photographed by Mark Segal, fell so quiet and still manage to say so much at the same time. So very Dazed and Confused this September 2010!
I like this girl. She’s got the talent, she’s got the force and she’s got the determination to do it right. Hopefully (fingers crossed) she’ll be safely growing into a fine young lady, without all the drama and the unnecessary excess surrounding your usual teen-star-now-grown-up-troubled-adult. Even if I was expecting something more consistent for the inside editorial, the Katie Shillingford styled images do remind me the bliss of simple things. It’s not in what she does, it’s more in her attitude. In what lies beneath that apparent stillness and passivity. How do you like your Dazed Dakota? (photos via)

The girl has grown up nicely. But again, this is another actress/model gracing a cover. Lovely though. Or am I just a no-no that don’t get it that Vogue is not allowed to use actress/models and Dazed and Confused can? Just asking? ——-> *hides blushing*…….
WRONG. So very wrong. Sexuaizing this kid (She’s a child, dammit!) is like putting sugar on a lollipop.
