Harper’s Bazaar double issue June/July 2010 comes with a shiny, happy cover, but not much content to go with it (despite the cover text overload).
Katherine Heigl, as radiant and pretty as ever makes a lady-like cover and a 60s bourgeois resort pictorial inside (something you’ve already seen in Louis Vuitton’s last collection and more), accompanied by a special article in which she talks about her daughter and – what else – her movies (you can read it here). That’s also the reason she’s doing this Harper’s issue: she has a movie coming out this June (Killers with Ashton Kutcher). These photos provide the perfect example of how too much pretended simplicity can go straight to dull and bring a magazine summer (double) issue down. How’d they get it so wrong?
