Talking about the Kaiser and his influence on the fashion industry got me thinking about his latest: a pictorial with Vanessa Paradis from the May 2010 issue of Vogue Paris. Very anti-summer, very strict, it’s an authentic Lagerfeld.

Every time I look at a similar product signed by the Kaiser I appreciate the perfection of it and at the same time I feel my aesthetics experiencing into some kind of strange rigor mortis. Don’t get me wrong, I think Karl Lagerfeld is a genius, I just don’t go well with his sometimes sterile rigueur. Plus I’m so used to Vanessa Paradis’ boho chic, I don’t open up easy to a military look associated with her features (especially for a summer month issue). Do you?
