While being torn between the genderless fashion trends and the girly-esques daily routines, I found this poster for next year’s Iron Man 2.
Which brings me to the following (taking place in our happy household every day for two weeks now): Iron Man is the new Barbie. At least in my house! My baby girl doesn’t want her dolls. No. She wants Iron Man! And she plays with that noisy thing all day long. What to do, what to do? Why, Iron Man, why? (photo via)

I am more of a DC Batman chica myself, I am not a big Marvel reader/watcher. :)
Kpriss your wee daughter likes Iron Man because he is shiny and bright red! Children adore colour and Barbie is a this moment in her life too dull to play with, she is not shiny and red. Also I am sure she is picking up what she sees her brother’s playing with. :)
ah! that’s for sure! If it doesn’t have wheels, it’s not a real toy! At least she loves books! She’s reading books all day long! Try reading books to my baby girl is Mission: Impossible! because she can do it herself! with her Iron Man (you’re right. It’s big and shiny and red! and it says “I’m Iron Man” aaaallll day long!)
LOL! What an adorable little girl. I love her even without ever have seeing her for real! No Barbies for her but a shiny Iron Man! And she loves books? This cutie is gonna be a fine woman, I’m sure! This made my day.:D
I like Iron Man 1 so I’m curious if the second part is as good as the first :)
Is Iron Man that good? Kpriss’ little princess has convinced me about his charms so it’s time I’ve to catch up with the movie then?
hm.. honestly? I did not found it good. The acting was convincing, accurate, but I have a problem with reality incoherence in movies. It just doesn’t click, doesn’t connect for me. And somewhere, Iron Man doesn’t connect for me. Anyway, we’ll make another doll-attempt sometime this week. We’ve spotted a larger doll, somewhat more girl-ish. It doesn’t say anything, but boy, oh boy do I want to take that doll and play with! (yep, myself! my grown-up self!)
Nothing wrong with keeping a bit of a child in ourselves alive. Aaahhh, let her play on at her age she will have another interest in a while…there’s so much to discover in life…:))
Okay, the movie itself never did attract me anyway. I believe you. So I wait until it’s on tv.
