Barack Obama on the cover of a Magazine is hardly unusual given his historic dimension. But seeing him on the cover of a magazine shaking hands with Terry Richardson? Yes, why? That the president of the USA graces the covers of opinion magazines due to his job: fine. For once on Vanity Fair: fine. The first lady once on Vogue: fine. But if this was our First Family I wouldn’t like the idea that they act or are treated by the media as celebrities. Or Michelle a.k.a. MObama as a fashion icon. That’s not their job.
It’s not their job but it comes with the territory if you are a young, handsome, ground breaking couple as the Obamas are. People are interested and fascinated by them.
This does not bother or faze me, its right up there with Marvel Comics having Barack Obmam on the cover with Spiderman.
