Converse has reached their 1HUND(RED) Red canvas shoe. Part of their initiative to help eliminate AIDS in Africa, Converse has lend its canvas to 100 artist who painted the shoes RED.
Celebrating Converse‘s 100th shoe from the collaboration series, “Conversations” took place, an event that brought artists and talents together for “100 visions of a better world”. The likes of Lupe Fiasco, Terence Koh, Vena Cava’s Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock, they all started with a Chuck Taylor All Star white shoe and they gave the measure of their inspiration for the cause. (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures and a video)
For the event, an exclusive selection of original sketches (and shoes) were also exhibited, the music and the cuisine worked together for an exquisite expression of the African inspiration. There’s so much to be done, so many ways to help, I’m happy this kind of initiative doesn’t go unnoticed! 100 artists used art to help change the world. (To see all 100 designs from the Converse 1HUND(RED) collaboration, you can visit the website here). Do you think it’s a useful (RED)action? (via 1, 2, 3)

Converse are my favourite runners! I like this idea. I think my favourites are the robin egg blue low cuts with the red figures on them. : )
