I-D Eniko Mihalik In January 2009

  • Pin it

The Easy, Breezy, Beautiful, Cover Girl Eniko Mihalik covers the beautiful issue of I-D magazine with a bejeweled wink and a Chanel purse.

Which is not necessarily bad if it wasn’t for the black nail lacquer, soooo last season! So last year, in fact! Photographed by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Eniko looks pretty and casual, despite the sequined wink. Even if at first I had a “Daria” déjà vu, I’m beginning to get used to (and even to really enjoy) these twins-y models (remember Gemma Ward and Sasha Pivovarova?). How do you like this first 2009 cover ? (photo via tfs)

Hey! Thanks for the comment!!

I loving this i-D cover actually!! Eniko’s just so sensual as usual! But the covergirl tagline is just tacky tacky tacky! YUCK!

I don’t know if I like the cover but her campy pirate eye patch is a wee bit of fun.

She’s boring looking, but I love i-D. I wouldn’t care if they put a monkey on the cover.

@TraiT:
The tag line is the best part of this cover, IMO. Lol.

And I love black nail polish. I have it on right now. [: As far as I’m concerned, it’s always cool. I had no idea it was in style in the first place.

The cover line is borrowed from I forgot which TV series (I never watch TV so I’m kind of disconnected there.. I only watch some selected series, and that online. The TV is on just for the kids, for their animations DVDs). So it’s not a genuine I-D tagline.

Black nails are ‘in’ for about 2 years now… Everyone loves a rock’n’roll touch every now and then! I for one got over the black nails and returned to my faithful french manicure. Matches everything, anytime, anywhere. Tricky to do (I like doing my own nails), tricky to maintain that perfect white and the impeccable nails, but it’s worth the result. I’m not a french manicure militant, I’m just saying that black is not for everyday use from my point of view.

Haha. I know it’s from TV, silly. That’s why I thought it was clever. [:
