Belgian menswear designer Raf Simons opened a new store recently. Located in Tokyo, Japan, this store is one delightful work of art.
When I was little, I had these artistic tryouts and designer tribulations that (almost every time) ended with a splash on the very tableau I was working on. Terribly involved and passionate about my artistic expressions, I wanted to have everything perfectly mirrored on the sketches board. In case that did not happened (which was rather current, I’m afraid!), I dipped deep my pencil in any color (a dark one, preferably) and splashed everything in a completely blind frenzy. Now I know I should’ve gone the artistic way and followed my splash instincts!
Raf Simons’s Tokyo store was “arranged” by Roger Hiorns and Sterling Ruby, two US artists who splashed the walls, the stairs in ink – blue. If they would’ve commissioned me, I would’ve done the floors too! For the same price! Just for the fun of it! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you.. Raf Simons’ new store! How about it? (via)

I like that kind of art but to tell you the truth this story design looks lazy and uninspired. They will most likely paint over it in a year.
I agree. Gives off an 80s vibe … and not in a good way.
I agree with Ellington and Sal and with you Kpriss to go frenzy with the inkpot…
