For some time I was waiting for some relevant Vanessa Paradis photos. Other than Miu Miu engage theme, other than some video of her singing.
Well, it seems Elle August, the French edition made my wishes come true for here’s an endless pictorial of Vanessa: On the road to Paradis. It’s funny, I would never thought Ghesquiere’s Balenciaga Spring Summer creations were so fluid as this cover’s dress made it look. It almost adds a chic touch to the robo-flower-themed collection. (more pictures after the jump)
She somehow looks like a prematurely aged enfant, even if she’s a regular grown up woman. There are several surprisingly beautiful images in this pictorial. I’ll let you be the judge, however, and tell your side of the Paradis after the pictures.(click thumbnails to see larger images)

I love this shoot. Its warm, nice, friendly. I dislike the MiuMiu ads a lot, they made her look somewhat scary.
But I’m one that likes Vanessa a lot.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. How very much more classy and stylish than the Vogue US cover!
Yes it is a nice cover and the photo layout is well done. Its leaps and bounds over the sad September Vogue cover.
I like Vanessa Paradis, ever since she did that nifty Chanel perfume ad where she was a bird in the cage!
Vanessa has always had this ‘woman child’ thing about her and is inevitably compared to Bridgit Bardot. Its nice and fresh off beat fashion shoot. She’s so tiny but extremely photogenic. When she’s blonde she reminds me of Patsy Kensit. Her albums are flops unfortunately but her films always leave the critics in awe.
Dolly Bird, actually Vannessa is a great star in her own country. Her albums are not flops and Patsy Kensit wishes she did look one bit like Vanessa. She act, she sings, composes her own songs, she models and makes lots of women/girls jealous because she’s Johnny Depp’s partner lol!
Ellington, Vanessa as the whistling bird in a case for Chanel is still my absolute fave Chanel scent commercial.
Hi Adriana!I am a fan of Vanessa and Johnny Depp.More so now than when she started out. You’re right Patsy Kensit would relish looking like Vanessa.Vanessa’s a fine actress. If you know someone French ask them to clarify if her albums sell well in France.
That Chanel ad a la Tweety Bird in a cage was really memorable thanks to Jean Paul Goude’s keen eye.Even today the ad looks fresh.
This photoshooting it’s the best of this year.Vanessa looks like a really diva.
She’s amazing…
You’re all right! She made a gorgeous caged Paradis bird ;)! As for her real life singing, I do think she’s more attractive to outsiders than her own countrymen. France has gone too much into the new generation choose-your-singer-from-a-reality-show fashion. Sad but true, few real talents have a solid chance in those competitions.
This pictorial, however, show a very fresh and beautiful woman and I’m very glad you were pleased to find it here.
A little off -topic. Haven’t you found strange how Vanessa resembles Kate (Moss)? And how their respective daughters have similar names?
The resemblance between Vanessa and Kate is indeed a strange coincidence. That woman/child thing again.Ask Johnny Depp about it!
We wish Vanessa and Johnny’s Lily a full and steadfast recovery.
Kpriss, I believe every country has gone “too much into the new generation choose-your-singer-from-a-reality-show”. And as I’ve been told by a Française especially French women seemed to have disliked Vanessa which is has gone better since she has become a mother?
As for the resemblance between Vanessa and Kate: I’ve noticed that too. Only their looks a bit. Vanessa looks more friendly and is far more talented than Kate ever will be.
Lila Grace + Lily Rose….mwah….but Johnny and Vanessa were first!
Dolly Bird: Lily Rose is well and alive since she left that London hospital where the poor child was near dead. Grateful father Depp donated 1 million pound to that hospital.
Have you heard a V Paradis album? She does that French thing they are so fond of; a one-eighty from Edith Piaf.
A little-girl vulnerable whispery chant, often with multitracking voice multiples which still render the song ethereal and to put it bluntly, gutless…lots of people love that stuff.
Her legs were in-house lengthened for the Chanel print ads, BTW.
That said, I like her, and applaud the apparently successful pairing with Mr. Depp.
Vanessa always struck me as that French casual chic look . I agree withe comment that the miumiu ad. makes her look a bit of a dominatrix – yeah “scary” . I love perfume , used to buy Guerlain and was thinking of MiuMiu but I don’t want to smell sort of tough and metallic . I’ll go do the wrist test first . But if being scary would get me JohnnyDepp I’d spray it top to toe .
