How many women turn more and more to plastic surgery improvements to get a higher self esteem? To get a chance at the spotlight and earn other’s respect?
That of course, assuming that beauty does all this and more. If not, you can always think that age-less women are more interesting, even if they have to pay fortunes and endure hell just to cheat old years. Well here’s one of those plastic-tried-persons confessing the sad truth:
“I’VE had [a] face-lift, eye job and all that stuff. It didn’t help me one bit. It didn’t get me happier or make me look particularly younger” – Kathy Griffin
Reassuring?

Kathy Griffin is someone who prides herself on getting attention, be it positive or negative. I can take her honesty but in only in small doses. She is truly self absorbed.
People should be okay with aging. It’s natural and I admire women who don’t try and change that. I think plastic surgery is so expensive and unnecessary.
Plastic surgery isn’t about aging anymore. That’s the most sad part. Young Hollywood is Plastic Fantastic Hollywood. If I start to mention names this reply would be longer than one I’ve ever written.
Its a sad sign of our times to try to look ‘perfect’ whatever that is or for what? And there’s this pressure on women especially in the entertainment business and even in the business world to look ‘young’. The sad part is they still look like women their age with work-done.
I don’t know much about Kathy Griffin but I see an odd look woman as so many others in showbusiness…
I was reading an article last week about brides getting some plastic work done for them and their entourage. And they said that this is the new it for spoiling the bride. Especially if she’s a thirty something bride (Not to mention the forty something!). It’s like if you don’t have a baby face, then you’re no good. And another article talking about grey hair for women and men. The men are considered silver foxes, charming and seductive and women with white hair are considered week, unattractive, grannies, careless. Why would that be?
