Carmen Kass In Fur Coat And Shoes For Harper’s Bazaar Spain

Carmen Kass is one of the models I’m fond of. Because of her modeling and because of her extra – curricular activities as well (Carmen is a reputable chess player, she even ran for the European Parliament once!).

However, I strongly believe that this cover doesn’t do her any justice! Harper’s Bazaar January 2013’s simple, yet potentially controversial cover was photographed by Nico but seriously lacks appeal and aesthetic grace. And this sorrows me – it’s not like Carmen Kass gets a fashion magazine cover every month! So when she finally gets one, it looks like this? With this much Photoshop and actual lack of styling, anyone could’ve pulled the cover. Why pay a top class model to do it? (maybe the inside pictorial will show better taste and more glamour? For now, the lovely people at tFS only scooped this cover so far.)

It’s Carmen Kass! Not Kaas. I hate the pose, the ‘styling’, the fur and the EU Parliament but she’s a model I always liked a lot. I also love to play chest. Well, I used to. Great game. :)
She’s Estonia’s richest woman by the way! I forgive her for the fur if this was an Estonian cover but this is Bazaar Spain. Not exactly the coldest country in Europe as Estonia is really cold….brrrr….

there goes my credibility out the window ;) lol

I too used to play chess :) now I just make Frosty costumes lol again :)

I had no idea she was so doing so well in her native Estonia! Great for her, she sets an example for all the others models!

(thank you!)

My pleasure. I’ve always liked her. A good model and one with brains. Even if we do not politically agree. She’s not an extremist of any kind ;) :)

Yes, at one point she was Estonia’s richest person. Not sure she still is.

No chess playing people around anymore alas. It’s no fun to play chess at the computer which I tried….no fun at all… I like to feel the tension of my opponent. It’s part of the game :)

A Dutch lesson: kaas = cheese

Oh, that’s amazing! I think that’s one word that’ll stick with me :) thanks :*

and you’re absolutely right, the tension is part of the game. we’re old schoolers :)

exactly :))

I’m so very old school. I also love backgammon and rather play scrabble than wordfeud. I love to see someone’s face every time I win…..:P :*
