Vanity Fair’s Demi Moore Pregnant Cover Reigns Supreme

21 years later and fashion magazine editors still can’t think of anything more creative for pregnant women covers other than the bare – it – all pose in the style of Demi Moore’s Vanity Fair cover. Many magazines editors have tried, over the years, to replicate Annie Leibovitz’ photo – success. None succeeded, though – Demi’s baby bump sold 548,058 issues. The only one getting closer to that figure was Brooke Shields baby bump, with 440,353 copies sold.

Would Jessica Simpson’s Elle cover get Demi off of her pedestal? My wild guess is that she’ll get nowhere near that number. What’s yours? (official numbers from wwd, photo from nydailynews)

I said it earlier: the one and only Demi and Annie’s
of course! I love that cover back then and I still do. Aww, I remember I bought it without even looking what was inside….

It was a very striking cover and it still is.
