Carine Roitfeld’s Magazine Will Be Different

We may not have a name yet, but Carine Roitfeld is already spreading the word about her magazine. We already know that she’s planning a September 2012 issue, the first of her printed magazine, in English.

Carine Roitfeld s Office We also know that she regrets using so many cigarettes and undressed girls in Vogue Paris under her reign. Now we’re informed that Carine “will try to do something totally different now” to keep her from getting “bored of myself or to bore my readers”.

Now about her readers – Carine expects them to be completely clueless when it comes to fashion and style: “It’s difficult for the woman to understand how to wear the clothes she is seeing on the catwalk.”

Umm. I’m confused? I thought we already had H&M, Zara and so forth for that… Didn’t we?

Carine does not understand how to sit on a chair. It’s not healthy to cross your legs like that. But thank God; she knows how to wear catwalk pieces!! Such a relief, ppffttt…..As for September 2012 what can I say? Things might have a changed further on and there’s a chance we do not need her advices at all? Just a thought….:)

(heavily blushing) – I keep my legs like that every now and then… It’s that bad?

Kpriss sweetie; now stop the blushing and that’s a order lol! I do it too. It’s bad for the blood circulation and that can leave veins on the legs eventually. I think (because of the language) this is not a real clear explanation. But you know what? Sometimes I can feel it and then I quickly return to the “Audrey Hepburn sit pose” so to speak. Until I catch myself doing it again…;)

Hi kpriss!
I wonder if Carine’s mag will verge between V & Purple. Not too avant garde I hope where readers are subjected to oddball concepts with the clothes hardly visible & lengthy interviews. I kind of miss the old Vanity Fair concept under Tina Brown where glamour mixed with trash. Nowadays its one or the other.
I read somewhere Carine wants to make her mag streetwise whatever that means. I suspect Nicolas Formichetti is on her rollcall.
Looking at Carine’s pose…don’t blush kpriss you are not alone. Actually I do sit like that sometimes & can even double roll my foot over the other foot like a braid to my own amazement. And now disgust after reading its a health hazard lol.

awwww! That’s so sweet! I’ll stop the blushing right now! And that’s only because you told me to! Both of you!

DollyBird! It’s so wonderful to have you back again! Hope everything is smooth and peaceful in your corner?

I think Carine was swept into Zahm’s perspective over magazines and printed word in general. I wasn’t suspecting anything Formichetti within, but if you say he stuck his lil’ sticky fingers too, that must be it. Let us not forget Kanye and his vision on fashion etcaetera.

oh, yes! the leg – braid! I don’t know how to call it otherwise – it’s so…irresistible! I think it’s fashion – that drives us to these odd leg positioning! After all, I started wearing skinny jeans, it can’t get worse than that, can it? (for my blood circulation and all) (wiiiiink!)

kpriss yes I forgot about Kanye lol. Nice to drop by again & missed the fun here.
@Rianna I was disgusted with MY bad habit of braiding my legs & not at your health hazard tip.

Dolly ma chérie; of course I know that ! :D

As I said it’s my bad habit too. A physiotherapist warned me not to that too often.
