Katie, Julianne, Zoe, Renee, Emily Cover Elle’s November 2009 Women In Hollywood Issue

Elle Magazine dons five different covers for November 2009. While there’s only one to hit the newsstands, four more surprisingly beautiful covers go for the subscribers issues.

The Women In Hollywood after Elle are: Emily Blunt, Julianne Moore, Katie Holmes, Renee Zellweger and Zoe Saldana. I find it a bit strange to see Katie taking the cover right after her on and off best friend, Victoria Beckham. Maybe it’s just me, maybe it’s just marketing. Who knows? (the story continues right after the jump with more images!)

Either way, the covers are hardly aesthetically offending, by far the most impressive cover is Julianne Moore’s. Even so, that’s no real surprise, Julianne always delivers a stunning view (if styled the right way, naturellement). Zoe Saldana’s cover charms my eyes with its chromatic simplicity and as far as Renee goes, I’ve never really been a fan. At least not from a physical perspective.

Emily Blunt is charming as always, I’d put her in the same category as Julianne. You can read (very) short fragments from their respective interviews online, but I’m really looking forward to seeing the inside pictorials. Which one of the five covers touched your senses? (photos via)

I second deka. Katie looks happy here. That’s really nice for a change. I also like the one with Zoe Zeldana. I’ve never ever seen the woman in anything but Avatar shall change that I hope?
The covers with Julianna Moore, have seen her much better, or Renee Zellweger and Emily Blunt, yes in that order, don’t touch my senses at all
Five covers? Sighs….why is that necessary?
The Hollywood Issue! Right, isn’t every fashion magazine not “a Hollywood” issue of late?

Let’s buy that Teen Vogue with Jourdan and Chanel: The Model Issue!

Katie does look nice, but why is she on the cover? She has not done ANYTHING of note except marry Tom Cruise and have a baby. The former “accomplishment” is suspect and the latter is something that a lot of women have done for time untold. The cover should have been taken by any of the other women who all look lovely too and they are good actors! Julianne is a consummate actor and rarely if ever disappoints, Zoe is an up and coming talented talent, Emily is also up and coming like Zoe will only get better, Renee is talented and award winning.
I do wish that they would release the other covers, Katie does not make me want to buy any magazines.
And yes Adriana the Teen Vogue would be a good purchase just because of Chanel Iman and Jourdan! : ) Oh and if you wish to see something current with Zoe in it check out the new Star Trek film, she played Lt. Nyota Uhura, and was good as was the rest of the cast! :)

Not to take anything away from Julianne (who is a cinematic goddess) but Renee Zellweger is the true talent here – both in terms of acting and beauty. She is the consummate actress – the female Robert De Niro if you will.
She is chameleon-like with the added ability to look hideous or gorgeous as per the requirements of her roles. Hers is the kind of acting I enjoy – fearless, absorbing, powerful. When I buy a ticket to her films I know that she, in particular, is going to give me my money’s worth.
