Back to the A: the first Milan show I’ll be covering here this Spring Summer 2010 season comes from Alberta Ferretti.
I’m not a complicated, dark fashion girl! I’m a romantic, laid back version of a typical mom. With a passion for fashion. So I’m sold! Alberta Ferretti’s romantic, ethereal vision of the next summer makes me feel in peace with fashion. Timeless and highly feminine, Alberta Ferretti’s collection makes me think there’s a dress girl hidden in any stiff suited woman out there! (the story continues right after the jump with more images and a video of Alberta Ferretti’s Milan Fashion Show)
There’s no strong color in Alberta Ferretti’s Spring Summer 2010 collection. Only few splashes of color or sparkling details here and there as exemplified by Vanessa Hegelmeier’s red flowers spill or Kim Noorda’s classic stripey dress and Karlie Kloss’ dark transparent long dress. Alberta Ferretti puts the trendy accent on the waist, plays with transparencies, with layered fabrics and cuts, with flowy, lightweighted fabrics.
Nudes and neutral tones with a nightwear twist set the tone for her next Summer. Even though I keep a neutral to positive perspective over this collection, I really can’t complain! Can you? (you can see pictures of the entire collection here)
