What a beautiful model, what a beautiful cover. Was that 1969?
R.I.P. Naomi Sims.
very sad
i’m also sad i had never heard of her before :-/
She was a ground breaker, a beautiful and elegant ground breaker.
: )
i miss the days that fashion magazines where full of truly beautiful models. Beautiful cover.
Late last night I saw a a nice short portrait of Naomi Sims on tv. And more great photos. Revolutionary she was! She was not found by a talent scout. She took all the initiatives herself! In the 60’s! And she got this cover and was a Halston model. After her career she wrote books. What a amazing woman. Afterwards I thought: gosh, how less do I know about her, that fighter, that pioneer. Such an inspiration……I’ve to google for her. We all have. This is THE Naomi!
Sometimes I applaud for Dutch tv!!
