I’m not sure how recent these pictures really are, but Wrangler’s ad campaign for the 700 Series qualifies magna cum laudae for my ongoing ad quest: Where are thou, marketing?
Let the images do the talking, don’t push any conclusion and don’t rush to the point. Which should be jeans. Blue Jeans! Denim has a mean weird way to purposelessly advertise for classic jeans. You’d say they’re on the verge of reinventing the wheel! Wearing Wrangler allows you to see. That’s all, folks! (photos via)

Strange ads. The look like denim clad Mexican wrestlers.
These are very strange but they get you to stop, look and talk about them!
I don’t know what Deka would say about this but I steal the title of her blog for my comment: That’s Hideous!
It’s of course the name of Deka’s blog right? Not title….pfff….but y’all can’t speak Dutch!
This is weird, I don’t get message from the ads but it totally catches attention.
title, name, it’s all the same! and it’s all hideous indeed! (oh, I wish I speak Dutch! I wish I speak any language out there! I gave up that dream trying to learn the twisted ways of German language but who knows, one day..). I even wish I’d read that Asian writing on the ad prints. Maybe that’ll clue me about this Wrangler campaign!
The Dutch and Germans can understand each other a bit. I can. But to learnit, pfff…. indeed the twisted ways of German language is very hard. In my ears German sounds very poetic. After all it’s the language of Goethe and Mann, Weill, Dietrich etc. It’s also a beautiful country. It’s like the Scandinavion’s does understand each other’s language. Fun continent with are isn’t it? All those different languages……I’ve to confess I don’t find my mothers tongue sound so pretty.
NA-CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Speaking of German – I’m learning the language at the moment. I’m planning to live there for a while so I can become fully fluent. Hoorah!
