Twilight Style – Robert Pattinson Is Gay?

Bram Stoker must be twisting and turning in his grave now! The new vampire generation, the Twilight absolute Kingdom over the young generation is about to be rocked from its very foundations: Robert Pattinson supposedly made his coming out! (the Twilight madness is upon me, finally! It must be the flu…)

Robert Pattinson, Twilight’s Edward is rumored to be gay! (the story continues right after the jump!)

Twilight Edward Bella

Twilight Edward T Shirt Even if he went on and on about being straight, not only he plays (a very gay) Salvador Dali in the upcoming movie Little Ashes, but rumors are catching up with him.

Could be that everybody’s favorite vampire is, actually, gay (things really changed from Bram Stoker‘s ol’ times!) ? Or it’s just nasty talk, like they always do when a gay-movie approaches? (and even so, who are we to question a vampire’s taste?) (via)

Oh who bleeding cares!
They always go through this crap whenever an actor plays a gay character. They did the same thing with Jake Gyllwnhall when ‘Brokeback Mountain’ was released.
And if Robert Pattinson is gay, so be it, but that will put a damper on all those Twlight fans frenzy.
As an aside I cannot abide ‘Twilight’, books or film, they are insipid.

LOL, no one had doubts about Sean Penn’s sexual inclination for his part as Harvey Milk. Not anyone!
I’m so glad I live in the Netherlands……
It the fault of Perez “Mario slobber, slobber’ Hilton. Who cares?

It’s just nasty talk in countries where are no equal rights. That’s the real problem here.

Adriana I think that no one question Sean Penn in regards to his sexuality when he played Harvey Milk is because he is not as handsome/pretty as Jake and Robert are. Their looks have a lot to do with it.
Not many straight women(or gay men) swoon over Sean Penn, I am not saying that no one finds him attractive but I do not think that you will find homages to him waxing lyrical about his good looks, his acting skills yes, his looks no.

Huh? Mr. Sean Penn makes my knees [almost] tremble! LOL!

It was an interesting choice of characters, however… Harry Potter, Twilight now a gay movie… Oh, well..

Pattinson doesn’t fall into my beauty patterns. Gyllenhaal neither. So they could be as gay or as straight as they wish from that perspective! But it’s sad and so obscure to attribute him with a gay label just because he’s playing a gay role in some movie… I remember what they said when Heath died and I fear for young Mr Pattinson!

It’s not the sexuality thing that gets me, but how unkempt these young male actors are.

Well, he is a eurasian brit. He could very well be gay. The Americans have their hetero genetics about them, but asians don’t share those genes.

#8 Adriana on 04.07.09 at 9:02 am

Pennyfold, can you send a link where I can read about this? An Euro-Asian Brit has more gay genetics and don’t share their hetero genetics as the Americans? What about other nationalities or/and races????

Taylor Lautner Is SO handsom..
Rob Pattinson Is Not That Charming… Mean while kids 10 to 16 are dying to marrie a 22 year old doodoo head that smokes any join he can get in his hands. Mmm yum WED… Great role model eh? And yes I am from Canada.. So come on and hunt me down Twilight fans. I don’t give a rats as about what you think of me.. I have my opinion and you have yours. That does not mean I hate Twilight. I am probably one of the biggest fans.. But c’mon Rob a Krissy… Be a good role model. Not for the ones who care like me.. But for the youngins. XOXOX Lor

It wouldn’t do me any good if he’s gay or not…I do think his character, Edward is one of the most romantic heros in a long time. Add to that Robert’s absolute drop dead looks and we have a winner. I’d be happy to cuddle up with him…smoker or not…and I hate smoking…His umkempt looks are a plus for me too. I just love everything about this man. Oh and he can sing, play the piano, act and just look good doing nothing. I’m a fan.

hey so you think my man is gay i will kill you why do you think hes gay he asked kristen to marry him????!!!

#12 Tony on 06.12.09 at 8:51 pm

Typically, if the rumors are there…they are true! I always laugh when I hear people say, “Oh you wish”…what gay guy wouldn’t want to bed Brad Pitt, ok, or Sean Penn…and on and on, but who ever heard a rumor that either one is gay? You don’t because they’re not. So then why do we hear that Rob Pattinson is, or Hayden Christensen or Ryan Seacrest or well, the list goes on…so I ask you, why? Duh! DUH! But, who cares? Why be MAD…are you pissed of you’re left handed? Are you mad at your Mother for being right handed? Oh, come on people!

I believe I begin to like to see this movie. I also begin to feel the Twilight madness. Not because of the flu but I’m a romantic soul. Who cares if a hero is gay or whatever? I’ve been always “deeply in love” with George Michael and not to forget Freddie Mercury.
I’ve paid yesterday for the first time attention to Adam Lambert who does look great on the cover of Rolling Stone. That this wonderful singer/entertainer needed that Idols show, I don’t watch such shows, for fame. I’ve watched a lot of material on YouTube and he’s great!
Oh btw, my favorite gay vampire is still Antonio Banderas in “Interview with the Vampire”. Just for the record.
Why do we still talk anyway, including myself about someone’s sexuality? What’s the point anyway? We’re all human. That’s all…….

He is NOT gay. >.<

#15 mE on 08.05.09 at 7:00 pm

It is a little fishy,

Considering in his latest interview he stated when asked what he looked for in a lady:

“I like PEOPLE who are upfront”
and “PEOPLE with abs”

Most guys would not have abs on their wish list for a lady. Even so…he said PEOPLE not women.

#16 Adriana on 08.06.09 at 4:23 am

@mE: whatever? Who cares? Teens that dreams they’re gonna marry him one day? Awwww……they grow over it. Trust me.

#17 Adriana on 08.06.09 at 5:16 am

@mE: sorry, I was a bit rude. But if Robert is gay alas we still live in a society where gays have to be careful. There aren’t equal rights in the US remember ? Too many people are narrow minded. I live in the Netherlands and even here we still need a Gay Pride. We heteros who are “normal” think often why is it still necessary? Also I do. But it’s not.
There were lots of people who had to take off the badge, most of us wore at the Gay Pride, when they travelled back home to their small villages in the train. The train is not a safe place that late at night to show openly you’re gay neither in the places those people lives…….That ain’t right.
So if Robert wants a career it’s understandable what he said. And we ALL are people right?

I can understand why he wouldn’t want to come out so soon in his carrer, if he is gay that is. I live in a backwards hick town and im gay, so i know how it feels to be judged for something you have no control over. Sad thing is if he was gay and came out alot of people would be pissed and probbably boycott his movies. If he is and im not saying he is or isnt gay he shouldnt come out so soon in his carrer and lets be honest who doesnt like a little mysterie.

#19 Adriana on 12.17.09 at 8:30 am

Shy Guy you explained very well why so many people who visited our last Gay Pride had to take their badges off in the train back home.
I wish you the best.

I bet no one is gonna be judgemental about Kristen Stewart who plays legendary and lesbian rocker Joan Jett in the biopic about the best women rock band ever The Runaways. Joan herself is very pleased with Kristen’s performance. She even does look like younger Joan who still rocks.:)

Adam Lambert came straight forward right away but I guess it’s easier to be accepted for what you are in the music world than in the film world. Plus Adam always have had the full support of his parents. I think that’s a very important basic for someone’s self confidence.

#20 SHY GUY on 12.18.09 at 10:58 pm

Thank you for your support Adriana, its nice to know there are good people still. I feel for those people at your last pride parade. Its shameful that be people are so judgmental of others for being themselves. I dont care if rob is gay or not, he’s incredably gorgouse and a great acter/musician, thats all that matters to me.

#21 Adriana on 12.21.09 at 10:47 am

*Smiles* to Shy Guy!

I know, right?!
– Rob Pattinson is a SINGER! who knew? A damn good one, too.
Giving in to my curiosity, I finally saw Twilight today and I nearly fell off my chair when I realised the hair-raisingly beautiful song excerpt used towards the end was sung by the main actor.
Respect, mate, you’re obviously more than just flavour of the month
