Jimmy Choo Makes Hunter Boots!

Don’t you just dream about the day you put on your Jimmy Choos for a glamorous moment? But what if that day arrives and you suddenly realize it’s going to be an absolute fiasco because it rains and your Jimmy Choos aren’t going to face that with a smile?

Now here’s the good news: the Hunter boots get a serious Jimmy Choo treatment! The result is a pair of glamwellies, embossed with crocodile motif and lined with leopard print. If that’s music for your fashionista ears, then start saving up because the Jimmy Choo Hunters will be available starting June and their price tag is rather heavy – $395! But that’s the price you gotta pay if you want to wear the same boots as Angelina Jolie or Kate Moss plus the Jimmy Choo treatment! (via racked, photos via movies.yahoo.com, instyle.com)

The collection was so successful, despite its price, that it was expanded with a couple of more colors. Bright sunny yellow and fiery red were added, also in tall and alligator-like texture. A shorter, bolder version was proposed as well: something more rock’n roll if I may say so in relation to rubber boots…

The shorter version, however, looks so much more like a normal Hunter boot save for a few key elements like the embossed upper edge and the front label reading Hunter by Jimmy Choo (of course, the leopard lining and the golden hardware of the superior buckle are also present, just the like for the tall ones).

In time, the collaboration was ceased as well as the collection which is now only erratically available on random e-commerce sites. Jimmy Choo opted to design and sell their own version of glam rubber boots. Something that looks oddly similar to equitation boots, a far cry from the classic Hunter willies but tasteful and, hopefully well built as to serve the original purpose to keep one’s feel away from the water and mud.

I’m very attached to my simple Wellington Hunter boots since years. A ‘tourist buy’ so to speak and a very nice memory too.
$395? I do not earn money with as many number as Kate and Angelina does.

I love the wellies that I have but I would not say no to these beauties!
