We’ve seen so many ads over the years and I still can’t put my finger on the exact moment when the lack of expression has become an artistic expression above them all.
These beautiful, colored pictures with young gorgeous women (for the sake of that reality byte, I won’t call them models. They “model? so much in this photo shoot that calling them by that name is pleonastic) and yet so inexpressive.

I miss a little controversy, I miss a little glimpse, something I can hang on to and develop into an article. Instead I’m bound with Suvi Koponen, Meghan Collison, Kate Moss, Guinevere Van Seenus, Daria Werbowy, Du Juan, Lara Stone, Angela Lindvall, Devon Aoki, Eva Herzigova, Isabeli Fontana, Shannan Click, Amber Valletta, Missy Rayder, Raquel Zimmermann as if they were mere words on paper.

It’s like someone’s having all these beautiful women locked down in a motel for exploitation purposes only and in full consciousness asking them to pose nicely or attractively. It would come up with this result, I’m sure.

I was normally stunned by the work of Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, but this time they managed a questionable subject depicted of life and most of all – style.

I can even force myself to understand the trashyness of this photo shoot, but I can hardly see why some of the girls had to put up with those horrific shoes since they were lying on the back in total abandon of themselves.

However, all this reminds me of Madonna’s Hollywood that I posted at the end so you could see if I’m right.

But please don’t hold back and express yourself on this W photo shoot by Mert and Marcus. Don’t keep it all for yourself! Let everyone know what you stand for!
