Jessica Alba in Marchesa at the 80th Oscar Ceremony

Talking about feathers at this 80th edition of the Annual Academy Award, I thought I should also bring you the “good”, not only the “bad”.

Pretty round mum-to-be Jessica Alba made a very good choice for the big night – a purple strapless dress signed Marchesa for the Fall 2008 Ready to Wear Collection. Pretty purple, pretty accessorized, Jessica made quite a look with this gown.

Even if those feathers look like she would have stuffed a bunch of Christmas decoration to make her décolleté more generous, they do kinda belong and fit marvelously with the rest of the dress.

What do you think? She matched the dress with a Grecian style hairdo – is that a match made in heaven? Or she would have pulled it off far better with the trendy red-carpet updo to match this beautiful dress?

Eww! This dress is horrible on her.It does her no justice and it looks like a maternity dress.

It’s a cut that amplifies her pregnant-look, but she is quite pregnant after all ;) . Either way, I thought it was a nice dress and she kept it all down with the accessories, which was good. There were far worse choices than that for Oscar night.

I think she looked extremely mother appropriate! She’s such a hot “mama.” What ladies would give to look like Jessica Alba… especially new mothers. She has obviously lost her “hottie, hubba hubba” and is now looking even more beautiful as a sophisticated young woman and now we all know she would never pose in bikinis again! I think she is so much more beautiful now; hair pulled back and a beautiful long gown. She’s great! Only one word… “sophistication!”
