Roger Vivier’s Couture Shoes Collection 2009
February 5th, 2009 by kpriss
Roger Vivier is highly fashionable lately. And not because suddenly everyone remember that he invented the stiletto heel, but because the celebs are wearing anything-Roger Vivier.
A simple documentation would tell you that Roger Vivier is now a shoe (and accessories) empire started by a French designer specialized in shoes, Roger Vivier. (don’t miss the Haute Couture Collection from Roger Vivier right after the jump!)

Dare To Wear The Amazing Blankoat By Sruli Recht?
February 5th, 2009 by kpriss
Even if I can’t overlook the obvious truth that this would make a great addition to any Darth Lord’s wardrobe, I have to admit it’s a great product.
Half blanket, half coat, this Blankoat is made of knitted natural Icelandinc Wool. It has two generously long sleeves and the edges are stitched with a shell stitch. (more details right after the jump)
Juliette Lewis Sequined Thights
February 5th, 2009 by kpriss
I’m amazed and confused in the same time. Logic doesn’t help me summarize Juliette Lewis’ outfit.
Of course I can always presume her satin dress is unzipped on the side, then again it may just as well be a blouson purposely let loose for the peek-a-boo’s sake. But pearls and sequins worn together, that’s really new to me.
The sequined tights (if anyone knows who makes them, I’d really appreciate the info!) really impress me. Glitzy enough to make a smashing success for a disco routine, bad taste-ish enough to make me wonder where the world’s at but so fit-in in this outfit that I can’t argue Juliette Lewis crazy-style touch. Let’s cast our vote right after the picture! (photo via)

Christian Lacroix Haute Couture Spring 2009 Paris Fashion Show
February 4th, 2009 by kpriss
Christian Lacroix eclecticism is always interesting to watch. I may not agree with his choices, I may as well love them, Christian Lacroix is to me an artisan of fabric, colors and influences.
This new Couture collection is no exception either. I sometimes take every collection (especially the Haute Couture ones) as a movie and the clothes should make the characters, accompanying them in continuous evolution. Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2009 Paris Fashion Show
February 3rd, 2009 by kpriss
Lagerfeld’s Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2009 Collection was, contrary to the Kaiser’s saying, quite recession-ish.
It was like a dance, a dance with 65 brides and widows. I can’t help but noticing the brides largely outnumbered the widows since there was an outstanding majority of white, white-ish, butter-ish creations on the catwalk. Coca-Cola Light By Manolo Blahnik, 2009 Edition
February 3rd, 2009 by kpriss
Manolo Blahnik has done it again! He was asked to create another iconic dress for the Coca-Cola Light bottle.
His first one, created in 2005, was reportedly designed thinking at something that made Manolo smile. Now I think he’s just trying to re-edit the smashing success his bottle had back in 2005 (need I remind you those were the days of SATC, hence a Manolo was coveted possession!). Annie Leibovitz The Hollywood Portfolio Vanity Fair March 2009
February 3rd, 2009 by kpriss
Something makes Annie Leibovitz‘ pictures so epic and fantastic that I just can’t help but finding her work amazing!
Her last pictorial features this year’s Oscar nominees in an actor-director duo for the Hollywood Issue of Vanity Fair. “Something Just Clicked” has that Leibovitz magic enlisting her photos from The Hollywood Portfolio in the art category. (after the jump, don’t miss the rest of the pictures, photos and a video from behind the scenes at this very exclusive Hollywood Portfolio, Oscar 2009 nominees!)

Valentino Couture Spring 2009 Paris Fashion Show
February 3rd, 2009 by kpriss
After Alessandra Facchinetti’s two seasons-tryout chez Valentino, she left the maison. The blurry situation wasn’t even clarified when Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli were appointed as the new creative team chez Valentino.
Yesterday the accessory team, today the designers behind Valentino, Maria Grazia and Pier Paolo made a true show out of this Haute Couture Spring 2009 Collection. (don’t miss the images from Valentino Haute Couture Show right after the jump!)
