The Stunning Wool Wedding Dress

Louise Fairburn’s wedding is everything but the ordinary, laid back summer wedding! The bride wore a fairy tale-ish wedding gown made from the wool of her favorite sheep, Olivia (a Lincoln Longwool).
Louise Fairburn is a sheep breeder and this original dress was her idea. (it kinda turns round since she was inspired from dresses made of carpets and since carpets are made of wool, well, at least some, then why not make a dress from wool?) For 67 hours of work, $2,500, this unique dress brought some serious publicity for the newlyweds, successful sheep breeders! That’s real life marketing, baby! (DailyMail via TreeHugger)

The highly anticipated and speculated Vogue US September Issue (not that September issue!) is officially introduced to the masses! With Charlize Theron on the cover!
Bringing a celeb for a fashion issue cover is sooo Anna! And even if I like Charlize and the Testino photos look beautiful plus the amazing nature landscape from the background, there’s such a Hollywood feeling to this editorial, I can’t convince myself to forgive and forget the non model cover. It may have started on wrong foot.. ahem cover, but Harper’s Bazaar US September 2009 seem to go on wonderfully after you turn the first page. (I still need cleaning up after that Moss thing! No make-up trace, that’s a start!)
Supermodels (missed them yet?) go supernatural for Peter Lindbergh‘s lenses. Bare, beautiful faces and secrets to flawless complexions, that’s the only thing this Harper’s Bazaar pictorial needs! Zooey And Joe Dance

I know it’s not Friday (yet) but why wouldn’t this be a Hump day break (especially after that smokin’ Moss motherhood style)? Zooey Deschanel had a new movie coming out. A new movie where she’s playing alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer). I haven’t had the pleasure of watching in the cinema it but I heard it’s wonderful.
Judging by this beautiful dance the two actors put together, I’d say Joseph Gordon Levitt is the next big (male) thing in cinema! (who would have thought back in the 3rd Rock days?) (oh, and in case you loved that song, there’s the original right after the jump : She & Him Why Do You Let Me Stay Here? – it’s really Zooey performing!)

I don’t post this kind of pictures around here. Because I really don’t tolerate smoking and everything related makes me exercise the little Photoshop skills I have to erase and blur every trace of smoke & cigarettes from the fashion/style related pictures I publish.
But this is different. Because it’s about being a mother. It’s about a child growing up. It was too much for me to put up with La Moss carelessly bringing up her daughter. By smoking around her. And as if that wasn’t enough, she’s not even smoking regular cigarettes. Such a model mother! (photo via)
