Dare To Wear A Dramatic Black Dress!
October 1st, 2009 by kpriss
(I’ll start with a warning: notice that the title doesn’t end in a interrogation point! Take this punctuation as such and do wear a dramatic black dress!) I keep this page open in my browser. (one of my browsers, for I am a lucky woman having the most wonderful husband, an IT magician in my very own home, so IT tricks apply in this household!)
I look at it from time to time. It’s been quite a few peek-a-boo days now and I still don’t feel tired at the sight of this dramatic sleeved black dress as worn by Valerija Kelava (new Slovenian model running with Next). Of course I should be keeping my arms like that all the time if I wanted to look like the absolutely Bad (a**) fairy. Still, who wears this black cape-ish dress and still gets to be labeled with “bad”? (this dress also happens to the urban fashpopulation during London Fashion Week!) (photo via)
Ewan McGregor Is A Fantastic Man This Fall Winter 2009 2010
October 1st, 2009 by kpriss
There goes GRRR…. McGrrregor. Ewan McGregor. He’s covering the Fantastic Man magazine, their Fall/winter 2009/2010 issue.
Before anything, let me just state the clear as daylight fact that Ewan McGregor is one of the Great Scots. Those unbelievably fresh looks getting better with age can’t be other than a Scot’s own. (the story continues with more images right after the jump!)

Get Creative With A Lego T-Shirt!
September 29th, 2009 by kpriss
Now this is the kind of T-shirt I’d get for my boys anyday! That’ll keep them occupied even during the stiffest wedding reception ever!
They supply a basic black tee with a black baseplate on the front. It’s up to your negotiator skills to get some Lego blocks from your kids, neighbor, neighbor’s kids, friends, friends’ kids! Are you ready for this brick’adventure? (Think Geek via BookofJoe)

Alberta Ferretti Spring Summer 2010 Collection
September 29th, 2009 by kpriss
Back to the A: the first Milan show I’ll be covering here this Spring Summer 2010 season comes from Alberta Ferretti.
I’m not a complicated, dark fashion girl! I’m a romantic, laid back version of a typical mom. With a passion for fashion. So I’m sold! Alberta Ferretti’s romantic, ethereal vision of the next summer makes me feel in peace with fashion. Timeless and highly feminine, Alberta Ferretti’s collection makes me think there’s a dress girl hidden in any stiff suited woman out there! (the story continues right after the jump with more images and a video of Alberta Ferretti’s Milan Fashion Show)
Karl Lagerfeld By Tokidoki
September 29th, 2009 by kpriss
And there goes another Karl Lagerfeld Toy! Made by Tokidoki, this tiny collectible figurine doesn’t really qualify for the toy-title. And still, thinking about the Kaiser in terms of toys makes him more human, more likable.
If you’re hoping to get one of Tokidoki’s $190 mini Karls, you’ll have to take immediate action (that’s so Karl!) for the tiny black suited shady Lagerfeld was issued in a very limited edition of 1,000 vinyl figurines! The Tokidoki flagships from New York, Los Angeles and Milan will receive the precious wee Kaisers starting next month (oh, wait, that’s tomorrow, right?) (via)
Black Sequined Leggings
September 29th, 2009 by kpriss
I looked at this picture and something felt strangely familiar. And haunting. Then bam! It came to me: last night I had a dream about black sequined leggings! I dreamed about owning a pair of shiny, black, sequined leggings!
The whys of this dream are completely unknown for the moment. I’ll try, however, to break this in a Freudian manner. Homemade.
I’m no skinny jeans / leggings girls. First because you see them everywhere and second because they make my legs look way fuller than they actually are! Now if you have any rational indication about why that may be, please fill me in! Nevertheless, that didn’t stop me from dreaming about a pair of black sequined leggings! Would you wear one of those? (yeah, I know, it may not look as worn by Chanel, like in this photo-example, but still…)

The Beautiful Life, A Very Short Life!
September 29th, 2009 by kpriss
I was wondering when that’ll happen! It was highly predictable, though it fell really faster than lightning!
CW’s cancellation of The Beautiful Life allows ANTM’s evergrowing madness to expand even more. If they felt The Beautiful Life wasn’t fash-accurate (and boy, was that ice clear!) after just two episodes, why do they continue to think ANTM is? (via)
Lara Stone’s Black Vogue Paris October 2009
September 29th, 2009 by kpriss
I’m trying really hard to understand the right perspective for this new Lara Stone pictorial in Vogue Paris October 2009. I already indulged Kate Moss’ new old photo spread, now I’m facing the black & white dilemma as orchestrated by Carine Roitfeld.
Is she trying to convince us that Lara Stone’s features are perfect, no matter the color of her skin? Is she trying to push us to such tanning extremes as to overcome the overbakness that (sometimes) is Lady GaGa? (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures!)
