World’s Ugliest Boots

Remember the outrage of seeing Madonna’s Chanel gun heel sandals a while back? That was actually an aesthetic and creative bliss given the following!

Let us hope (and pray) that fashion doesn’t meet fetish more than that! Underground artists building “shoes” like these Gun Hoofs (by Iris Shieferstein) better stay deep down underground! And may Gaga never lay eyes on them! (via)

Alexander Wang Sunglasses For Linda Farrow At Opening Ceremony

Since first seeing those cat shades on Dree Hemingway a while back, I dreamed about wearing a pair. I’ve been terribly lazy about it and haven’t dug up the author of such sunglasses masterpiece but I did, however, came across an alternative!

An edgy, metallic one, like it’s the fashion lately. Reminding me seriously the Ray-Ban Wayfarers, the new Spring Summer 2010 accessories from Alexander Wang look playful but oh-so-trendy at the same time! (the story continues right after the jump with more images!)

The New It Tattoos. Forget The Old Tribals, Get The New Hip Ink!

Beyond fashion and symbols, tattoos can definitely get old! Doesn’t even matter if you get bored of the ones you already have, a quick look at the ones I’m about to show you and you’ll know your tattoos are museum-worthy!

Playful characters, artistic tableaux on your very skin, the new tattoos don’t need an expert hand to draw the model, you can have your children, your relative’s children, your friends children (even your foes’ children – for such a drawing, there’s no need to love one another, au contraire!) to draw something on paper, on your skin, anywhere as long as you can run with it to the nearest tattoo parlor and ink it, baby! Forget your old tattoos, get the new playful ink done! It’s artsy! (the story continues with more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!)

Rihanna’s W Magazine, February 2010

I know celebs make the cover of a magazine with a particular idea in mind: promotion material. Everything they do is carefully planned, scheduled to meet their artistic projects. And so is Rihanna. Her February 2010 cover of W Magazine comes to support her new album/tour. So where’s the surprise?

The photos look lifeless and, dare I say, boring, everything screams photo call and nothing more, no fashion, no artsyness, nothing. Just Rihanna at her usual provocative self wearing this and that and looking all the same! (if you want to see more to convince yourself, or by all means, change your mind, click through to see more images! Click here to see the gallery!)

Kate Lanphear, The Urban FashWarrior

There’s no rest for the stylish ones! Here’s Kate Lanphear (style editor, US Elle Magazine) wearing what we already know to be the high fashion: shreds and pieces, especially metallic pieces!

But I have to say that Kate’s choice is by far the opposite pose of what we saw earlier on Miley Cyrus. This is one fierce fashionista who does not scary me nor she makes me think there’s no hope for tomorrow’s fashion but to fall prey to various fetishes instead of evolving in creative inspiration. What say you? Cast your vote after the first image! (on a side note: the first image is one of my favorite ever: the angle, the way her hair nearly melts into the outfit, it’s just perfect!) Jorge Miguel, A Gifted Photographer

Joining the ranks of beautiful imagery right here on Stylefrizz is Jorge Miguel Blázquez. The Madrid born (1968) photographer has discovered his passion since he was 14 and followed it through various themes until he finally decided to attend a workshop(1990).

Though slightly digitally manipulated, his images are really beautiful and peaceful. Dealing with light and color as if he’d pick them from a painting palette, Jorge Miguel succeeds in capturing the human nature just as well as he reminds us how amazingly beautiful the simple surrounding nature really is.
