The Wooden Tie And Bowtie Really Wearable?
August 31st, 2010 by kpriss
We’ve seen some pretty amazing creations around here. Still we’re far from being over-amazed with the wonderful creations people put out in the world in the name of fashion and style.
Take this wooden tie and wooden bow tie for instance. While they must be the expression of the absolute comfort they’re facing when wearing a tie or bow tie, for many of us, it’s just another daring, yet unexpected diy project. However, some are willing to experiment and take this Pinocchio fashion to the next style level: would you wear a wooden tie/bow tie? Would you see others wearing it? (for all those interested in the project, you can see how it’s done here)

Quick Animation Moment The Monk And The Monkey
August 31st, 2010 by kpriss
Now let’s take a moment and breathe. That bad case of the Mondays is off now, you’re already a step closer to the weekend. Also it’s the last day of August. Let’s celebrate!
Let’s have an animation shortie to lighten up the spirits and the atmosphere. (I sure need a good dose of animation to make up for all that screaming scaring Fashion’s Night Out PSA!). So – it’s about The Monk & The Monkey, fresh right out of the Ringling College of Art And Design, straight from the hands of Brendan Caroll and Francesco Giroldini. Is there something wrong with my inner fashionista if I’d rather look at this video instead of falling prey to the invasive “shop – shop – shop” FNO mantra? (via)

Fast Manicure. Fast Food Manicure
August 31st, 2010 by kpriss
There’s really something, some strong, undeniable relationship between food and fingernails! Remember those cheese nails we talked about a while back?
We’re back on the food track with a very fast manicure. Oh, pardon me : a very fast food manicure. Now this is so much bigger, stronger and better than the cheese nails! With or without rat on top, this is the very essence of our modern society. Fast times, fast fashion, fast foods, fast manicures! (now if you’re looking for something really, really scary, hit the jump and see the difference between a Happy Meal right after you bought it and the same Happy Meal 137 days later! – click the image to see larger pictures!) Dare To Wear The Azumi And David Bag?
August 31st, 2010 by kpriss
This is definitely not your average looking bag! People would want to take a second look at it, believing they’ve got it all wrong the first time.
Is that a bird, is that a plane? No, it’s a bag looking like a bootie. Or a bootie looking like a quilted bag? Keeping up with the trendiest bags traditions – the chain shoulder strap and the fringed side accessory – the new fall winter 2010 2011 collection from Azumi and David will pop the hood of your imagination with this new bag. Does it fuel your fashion engine? (if it does, then note that the bag is available for $458 at colette.fr and the clutch version you can see after the jump in black or gold is $375)
Ready For The Fashion’s Night Out 2010?
August 31st, 2010 by kpriss
Now that the Emmys are out of the way, aren’t you looking forward for the next pretext to release your inner fashionista? I am. I was, actually. Until I saw this PSA.
Meant to draw attention and crowds to the Fashion’s Night Out, the 2010 edition (September 10), the video only raised my eyebrows. High, high high (think Linda Evangelista high). It’s hysterical (and not in a good way). Chaotic. Shallow. Unprofessional (though it was shot by the renowned Peter Lindbergh). And we still wonder why people don’t take fashion seriously? Shop. Shop. Shoooooop! (30 seconds with some of the most gorgeous models in the world: Jourdan Dunn, Liya Kebede, Sasha Pivovarova, Chanel Iman, Stella Tennant, Karlie Kloss, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Caroline Trentini, Karolina Kurkova, Joan Smalls, Miranda Kerr, Lara Stone, Lily Donaldson. 30 scary seconds! Luckily the photos right after the jump don’t have the same hysteria screaming through!) (photos via)
Leather Pants, Animal Print Top. Perfection!
August 31st, 2010 by kpriss
When I grow up, I want to look just like this! I think you’ve heard me say this at least once before but can you blame me for it? Take a look at the picture below and find the flaws! I’ll be more than happy to note them and zap this mental picture of perfection from my fash-imagination treasures chest!
However, until that sad tossing out moment arrives (if ever), I’ll just take a moment of sartorial admiration and think that if there’s a fash – Nirvana, then this is how it must look like! A Givenchy animal print silky top paired with Balmain black leather pants. All carried out to perfection by Barbara Martelo, stylist extraordinaire (her works can be seen in the Spanish Vogue or Vanity Fair). I’m uncertain about the shoes – they look pretty challenging for the foot with all those leather strings. But they do make a good “feline-ish” ending for the outfit. Don’t they? (photo via)
Puma’s Smartest Shoebox Ever
August 31st, 2010 by kpriss
The Clever Little Bag. Are you familiar with it? It’s a Puma project in collaboration with Yves Behar meant to bring out the best way to use a box. The Smartest!
And they came up with this no – box little red bag which makes all the difference in the world (numbers and specifics in the video right after the jump). It’s just one of the reasons I love Puma. That and the fire red Puma Originals shown in the images below! I just can’t resist these timeless classics! How could I resist the Clever Little Bag? Especially when it’s clever. And helpful in oh-so many ways! Can’t everyone think of better ways to use our resources? (visit)
